Chapter 1 -+- The Manila File

Lucy - January 5th 20xx

I looked down in my lap and clutched the files of a teenage boy named Natsu Dragneel.

His files showed his non photogenic portrait. His frown made a crease around his lips, and his dark onyx eyes stared lifelessly at the camera. It wasn't those intense features that threw me off, no, it was his salmon spiky hair. Pointing in every direction, his hair seemed to be the only thing with life.

I stood up from the conference table causing everyone to turn their heads.

"Yes, Lucy?" My boss, Makarov, asked. He was in his fair 80's and was very short. He is the CEO, our 'father' if you will.

"To get started on my mission," I said as I waved the manila folder.

"My child if you wish to start so soon, I'd advise that you take this mission with precaution and review the material within your files" He calmly said as he jumped from his seat and onto the floor. He waddled his way towards me. At only 4'8 he stood beneath me. He raised his head and squinted his eyes.

"If you're starting soon then I expect excellence from you young lady"

I rolled my eyes and backed up. "You most definitely will boss"

"We'll then my lovely Lucy please have Levy assist you on your mission, I thinks it's best if you have at least one friend to accompany to a new state" Makarov said as he smirked.

"What do you mean new state?" I replied. He had never mention me having to travel out of Illinois for a mission. All my missions were state based, I'm not supposed to be moving.

"As i said earlier Lucy" He said as he made his way back to his seat "I told you it'd be best if you reviewed the contents within your files"

"That's fine sir, as long as I have Levy everything should go according to plan"

"Then I'll see you here in no more than 6 months, you are dismissed" He said with s wave of his hand.
What an egoistic asshole really.

Levy Mcgarden. She is a petite girl with blue hair, but other than the fact that she has an unnatural hair color she also has an unnaturally high IQ.

But I like to think we have the best friendship. The beauty and the brains. I don't think i'm too smart book wise but street wise. Hmm I know a little some.

After exiting the conference room Levy and me made our way towards the elevator.

"Lucy how come you want to start the mission early?" Levy asked as she took the manila folder and began to scan its contents.

"I have a good feeling about this one Levy"

The elevator doors opened and we made our way in. As the doors closed and the elevator hummed it's way down the building, I pondered my thoughts. Who assigned me to kill this kid? From what I saw in the files, that I had briefly scanned, he didn't seem like he had caused any trouble.

The elevator beeped and we headed out.

Though it could be some sort of revenge. But I'm not quite sure. I guess this'll be one hell of a mission.

August 31st 2021 - Also ignore the file. The deadlines not December 21st. It's just that when i first wrote this it was but now it's in june sooo💀 it's just that i made that image when i first started this fiction so yeah but i like it so much and it's like a fossil so imma leave it there lmao
