Arin's POV

We woke up at about 5AM. It was still dark outside and we were all very groggy. My mom didn't let us drink any coffee, and we were all a little out of it. Our stuff was already packed and we all apparated to the airport. None of us could use any magic, since it was a muggle airport. There were a bunch of muggles there, all crowding around in the security lines and gates. We got questioned at the security checkpoint but we managed to obliviate them. After all that, it was 8:55AM. We were all running towards the gate. We finally made it. Our gate was number 64. Jason and I got on the line. We had our luggage and tickets with us. We were last. We looked at gate 63. Those were all the people going into the United States. New York, I believe. We didn't see our parents on this line. Weird, so the New York flight boarded and all those people went on the plane. We saw Eva on that line, so we told her to get on ours. The plane to New York left. We began boarding for our flight. The flight attendant asks us where our parents are, we told her that our parents probably were on the plane. She stamped our tickets and we went in. The plane was very roomy, and we sat in the middle. There were 3 seats in the middle and 2 on the other side. We look around and we hear a voice on the intercom: "Good morning, ladies and gentlemen, and thank you for joining us. This is a flight from London, England to Queens, New York. We will be arriving at JFK Airport at about 7 o' clock tonight. Please buckle up and enjoy the flight. Drinks will be served shortly." "Yay, we're going to Queen, Bahamas!!", shouted Eva. "No, you moron, didn't you hear him? He said Queens, New York.", a new voice from behind us said. We all turned around and guess who was standing right behind us. Jack Moorey. "What are you doing here?!", I instantly yelled. "May I ask you and your band of baboons the same question.", said Jack. "We're going to the Bahamas, obviously.", I said. "No, you're not. This is a flight to New York. Jack and I are going here over break. Don't tell me you're going to be staying at the Lowell too?" We turned around to see Narcissa standing next to Jack. "You too?", Jason asked in disbelief. "Yes, me too," she answered back. "But wait, we were supposed to go to the Bahamas. Why are we here? "Maybe because you idiots got on the wrong plane. Have you ever even been to New York?", asked Cissy. "No.", we all answered with a somewhat ignorant look on our faces. "Well, good luck, it sure isn't friendly.", Jack said. Then plane took off. I was begining to get scared. We were 3 kids from England who have never been to America, and now we were going to big, scary, New York. I was certainly scared. And we had nowhere to sleep.  And what if  Americans were nasty? We surely didn't know. Jack and his friend were kicking our seats from behind us and we all made a big fuss. People stared. The plane landed. We followed Jack and Cissy out. Patty was still unconscious for some reason. The cold brisk air hit us in the face as we walked into the airport. It was so big, so different from the airport we were in. The people all talked differently too. We asked the  lady in the customs line about any flights to the Bahamas but she said that there would be one in a week. I guess we were stuck in New York now. Jack and his friends all went in a limo, and we paid a taxi driver to drive after them. Maybe we could stay in the hotel they were going too. However, the Lowell turned out to be too expensive so we had to go into this motel in a bad neighborhood. I don't even think Jack and his friends stayed in the hotel. I saw them running around pushing kissing couples apart, and throwing snow and curses. The room next door to us was eerily quiet so we just all went to bed. Jason wanted to step outside and buy dinner but Eva and I told him not to because the neighborhood was too dangerous and we were only first years. We couldn't do much. As we went to sleep on the crummy beds, I swear I could have heard "avada kedavra" outside.
