I'm the HERO!

"No (y/n)." Arthur deadpans.
"Oh come ooooooon, please? Just this once? For Alfie?" I beg.
"Why? It's so silly..." he grumbles, looking up from his paperwork.
"Because - Mr Grouchy - it'll be fun~" I sneak behind his chair and embrace him, "We always end up enjoying ourselves." he huffs and drops his pen on the desk.
"Alright, but this is the last time. This is so embarrassing..." Arthur mumbles.
"Yay!" I skip to the door, "Your outfit is in your wardrobe ready. I'll keep Alfred busy in the back garden until you are ready. Don't take too long though~" I beam as I make my way to Alfred's room.

*Small timeskip*

"Nyoooooom! Wooooosh! Never fear citizens! SuperAlfie is here!" a certain little hero laughs triumphantly while running flying ahead of me; proudly dressed up in his superhero costume I made him. He spins around so fast he flops down the floor, "Ugh, mommy... I'm so dizzy!" he giggles.
"Oh no! That means the Big Brow Baddy can arrive any minute now!" Arthur is so not going to be impressed with his bad guy name I giggle along as I sit beside him.
"Big Brow Baddy!?" He jolts upright and hugs me tight, "Who's the Big Brow Baddy?"
"The Big Brow Baddy is a mean British man kidnaps all the little superheroes' mommies when the superheroes are dizzy." Alfred gasps at my explanation.
"What does he do to the mommies?" he asks, holding me even tighter. I almost squeal, he's so adorable.
"The worst kind of torture ever: feeding them his badly cooked meals!" Alfred's eyes widen in horror before he calms down and grins.
"Don't worry mommy, I'm not little! Even if he tries he would be no match for SuperAlfie!" he releases me from his hug; satisfied that I wasn't in danger. "Hey mommy, can we play with water balloons today?" I look to the sunny sky to check for any signs of rain clouds.
"Of course, do you need me to help?"
"No thank you mommy, the hero can handle it~" he dashes off to get the balloons and fill them up. I lie back down on the grass and watch the clouds. What's taking Arthur so long, I wonder...
"Hello there, love~" Speak of the devil.
"Hey Artie, where have you been?" I stand up, brushing off the grass and dirt on my jeans. I have to say, his costume looks really real; like he could've jumped right out of a comic book (A/N: You decide what exactly he is wearing).
"Arthur? Who is Arthur? I'm the notorious Big Brow Baddy." he chuckles darkly and kisses my forehead. Arthur sweeps me off my feet and holds me close, "Stay in character darling." he bolts close to the house and finds Alfred.
"Ahhh! The Big Brow Baddy has caught me! Someone please save me!" I yell, catching Aflie's attention. He takes a moment to understand what was happening, finally twigs, grabs his small bucket filled with water balloons and chases after us.
"Don't worry mommy! SuperAlfie will save you!" he tosses a balloon which hit Arthur's back. Little did Alfie know, Arthur had prepared for this.
"Take that SuperAlfie!" he cackles as he throws his own water balloons he had stashed.
"Gah!" Alfred dodges the balloons effortlessly and catapults one final balloon. Arthur got out of the way, but got careless, slipped and fell to the floor - still holding me so I can't get hurt. "Ha-ha! I stopped you in your tracks, villain! And that means I'M THE HERO!" he cheers and hugs us both, "That was so much fun!"
"Okay hero, it's time to get back inside and clean up." I pant, even though I wasn't running I still got a little tired.
"Okay!" Alfred races to the house.
"I told you we'd have fun, Artie."
"I didn't! This was exhausting!" Arthur helps me get up.
"Really?" I lift a brow.
"Yes." he nods.
"Then why did your eyes sparkle?" I smirk, knowing that his eyes light up when he's having fun. Arthur opens his mouth to argue but closes in defeat.
"Well... it was better than paperwork." he mumbles.
"I'll take that as, 'you are right as always love'." I giggle and kiss his cheek.
"Bloody hell..."
