Hi, I just wanted to introduce myself quickly. I'm Tasianna. Im 16 & I am in the 10th grade. Recently, my teacher gave me an assignment. The assignment was to write a 9-15 page short story. ....So here it is. Happy reading :)

"Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday dear Tadita! Happy birthday to you! Blow out your candles, and make a wish."
"Whats wrong? Why do you look so upset?, Charollete asked with a confused expression.
"Fine, I'll make a wish!", Tadita yelled.
Her voice was laced with anger. Her words were like snake venom to her mother's ears.
"I wish that my dad never died, I wish you never left him for Ray, and I wish things were how they used to be!", Tadita Exclaimed.
Her voiced cracked at the last few words. Charollete just stared speechless. The hurt in her eyes spoke louder than any words she could say. A single tear rolled down her cheek. All was silent. Charollete finally spoke.
"Tadita"
"Don't call me that!", Tadita Yelled relentlessly.
Tadita didn't care about her mother's pain? Why should she? Her mother didn't care about hers.
"That is the name on your birth certificate, so why shouldn't I call you by your name?", Charollete calmly stated.
A few years back, Charollete told Tadita the meaning of her name and that it reminded her so much of her "former self". At the time, Tadita didnt mind the name, but now she did. She wanted to be Nothing like her mother. Just as Tadita wad about to reply, a large voice spoke.
"ENOUGH!", he boomed. You could feel the anger radiating from him. It was Ray....
