Chapter 19

**holy crap! I am so so so so sorry this took so long!! I'm slacking off I know, I just have a lot of things I wanna do before I start high school next week. Eee! I'm so excited!! Anyhoo, here's chapter 19!!!

Little Liam's POV

I've spent the last few days thinking about what Rachel told me. What if Kat really is a demon? What if she really does want to kill me, willow and Shannon?

My thoughts are interrupted by a knock on my door. Dad walks in a few seconds later. "Hey buddy. I just came up here to tell you to start packing. Kat has invited us to stay up at her cottage for the weekend!" He says happily. "We leave in a few hours".

I nod weakly and he disappears to tell the girls. Great. We're gonna be stuck in the middle of nowhere, with a demon lady that wants to strangle us.

I grab a suitcase from my closet and start shoving clothes into it. I know dad wont let me stay home, so I don't bother protesting. If mum can cheat death, so can I.

About twenty minutes later, I hear Kat's voice downstairs. Her boots clomping up the stairs and a few moments later, she appears at my door. "Are you ready Liam? This weekend is going to be a blast!" She exclaimed excitedly.

I search her features for any sign of malice, but she appears to be genuinely happy and excited. Huh. She soon leaves me to pack, wandering off to bug Shannon and Willow.

When I finish ten minutes later, I check to make sure that everyone is downstairs, before I climb out my window.

I pull a small note out of my pocket and start to walk down my empty street. When Rachel left the other day, she also left me an address so that I could find her if anything went wrong.

I follow the directions until I arrive at a modern looking office building. I push open the door, cautiously stepping inside the building. All the lights are off, but I can hear movement throughout the halls.

I continue to walk foreword carefully, until I stumble over something. A trip wire. A light flickers on, revealing ten or fifteen wolves. They're teeth are barred, ready to attack.

One of the wolves shift into a girl with short light brown hair and blue eyes. "Who are you?" She asks. I look around at the many wolves, all looking at me like I'm dinner.

"I'm Liam. I'm looking for Rachel. She told me I could find her here" I state calmly, even though my instincts are telling me to run.

Another wolf shifts into another girl. "My name is Rachel" she says. Her curly brown hair and hazel eyes stare at me. The first girl rolls her eyes. "Do you know him?" She asks Rachel, who shakes her head.

The girl with short hair glares at me. "Run while you can kid. Before we eat you for dinner!" She threatens me. I don't move. I refuse to move.

"But Rachel told me she would be here! She has reddish hair, big eyes, freckles. You must know who I'm talking about?!" I practically plead.

The wolf girls have all shifted back by now. A girl with black hair and brown eyes speaks up. "Oh! You mean Rai-" she is cut off by the girl with short hair.

"Hush Zaria!" She says to the dark haired girl, whispering something into her ear. Zaria's eyes go wide, and she whispers something to the other girls.

The girl with short hair snaps her fingers, capturing the others attention. "Sophie, Caitlyn! Bring this kid to see um, 'Rachel'" she says. "By the way, I'm Amy"

Two girls with blonde hair step foreword. They both have blue eyes and freckles, but I can tell they aren't related. They lead me down a dark hallway, outside a large meeting room.

"Rachel is inside" says the one named Sophie, before her and Caitlyn walk away. I slowly push open the heavy door, temporarily blinded by the bright lights inside the room.

In the center of the room, Rachel and two other girls huddle around a table. I recognize one girl from before. I clear my throat and all three head snap up in surprise.

Rachel gasps before pulling the hood of her black hoodie over her head. "Liam! I wasn't expecting you to come here. Is something wrong?" Rachel asks. I shake my head.

"I'm fine. Kathryn invited us up to her cottage though, up in the middle of nowhere. I'm a bit worried" I say truthfully. Rachel nods her head. One of the other two girls coughs awkwardly.

"Oh Liam, this is Trinity" she points to a girl with dark brown hair and matching eyes, "and Zaria" she points to the girl with black hair. They both simultaneously nod at me.

All of a sudden, the girl named Caitlyn bursts into the room. "Rai-Rachel! We've spotted demon activity at the London eye!" She says quickly. Rachel's eyes go wide and she runs over to a big wooden chest in the corner of the room.

"How bad is the demon?" Rachel asks. Caitlyn shakes her head. "Three raveners. They've somehow stopped the wheel and are trying to get to the people inside!" She says, running back out of the room.

Rachel swears under her breath and grabs a long handled silver dagger. It looks exactly like one dad described to me in one of his many stories. Rachel slides the weapon into a sheathe and slides it into her belt. She turns to me.

"Liam, I've got to go" she says before walking away. I grab her sleeve as she walks by. "What about us?! What it Kat really is a demon? Then me and my sisters are gonna die! Can't you help us?!" I yell. Rachel shakes her head.

"I'm sorry Liam. You'll be fine on you're own. Here" she hands me her dagger. "Silver works on demons as well as werewolves. Just try not to cut yourself with it" she says and runs out of the room.

Shannon's POV

"Are we there yet?!" Willow yells for the six millionth time in the past hour. From the drivers seat of our range rover, dad shakes his head. "Just a few more minutes" he says.

A couple minutes later willow asks again. "Just be patient!" Dad says, clearly getting annoyed.

Two minutes go by. "ARE WE THERE YET?!" Willow hollers.

"SHUT UP WILLOW!!" Me, dad and Liam all yell back. There is a popping sound and the car slowly comes to a stop.

Dad hops out an runs around to inspect our vehicle. "The tires blown!" he yells, and we all groan. Since we're in the forest, no one can help us. Also, dad made us leave our phones at home so we could fully enjoy our trip. Luckily Kat's cottage is nearby, we think.

Suddenly, a grey thing leaps out of the surrounding forest at us, barely missing dads head with its claws. Instead, it leaves long scratch marks in the car, before disappearing.

"What was that?!" Liam yells from beside willow. The twins both look terrified, Liam clutching onto something in his jacket. We all climb out of the car and run over to our shocked looking father.

"I need you to take your brother and sister and go hide" dad says, looking me straight in the eyes. I nod and pull him into a tight hug, tears threatening to spill down my cheeks. "I love you daddy" I say and grab Liam and willows hand, running into the forest behind the dead car.

About thirty feet in, I see a large evergreen tree, with thick branches. I drag the twins over to it, and we climb about eighty feet up the trunk. When I find a fork in the branches, I lay my jacket down so Liam and willow can sit on it. I push some leaves out of the way, so I can see what's happening below us.

Dad is now in wolf form, searching through the forest, in search of the thing that tried to attack us. About twenty feet away from him, the bushes rustle.

**ahh! What is gonna happen to Niall? I so sorry this took so long. I made it a bit longer than usual for you readers :)
