"Nooo!" I scream as the girl falls, an arrow protruding from her back. As she falls, she starts to dissolve into nothingness. When I start toward her, another girl materializes and kneels beside her. The new girl looks around ten years old with a silver band of leaves on her brow. I look on in confusion as the 10-year-old muttered in what sounded like Ancient Greek.
"Μπορεί να βρείτε την αιώνια ευτυχία," She whispers.
I don't know how, but I translate her blessing into,
"May you find eternal happiness."
The girl with the band looks up from her fallen friend and stands up.
"So you're who all the fuss is about. Hmm."
When she gets no response, she continues,
"You can always join my Hunters, you know. Here, take a brochure."
I take the paper, trying to form a coherent sentence.
"Ummm...Who? Wha-? Hu-?" I swallow and try again, "Umm...what are you talking about?"
"Oh, you'll find out soon enough."
