Chapter 1:

I sat on the snow covered ground and let the white powder fall on my icy blonde hair. I've been a rogue since I was twelve and have learned to survive without depending on a pack, or anyone at that.

I've learned not to trust anybody and to never let your guard down. I never would've thought my life would be consisted of learning the hardships of life alone, but here I am. I'm eighteen and a rogue. I've always despised rogues because of what one did to my family. I despise myself for not attempting to join a pack, but I've grown to be independent and a lone wolf.

I run through other pack's territories with no intention of joining them. I've never met another werewolf since the day my pack banished me. I have taken defense and offense classes with humans and have my parent's bank account under my name.

My parents have a lot of money and I use that money for my necessities. I don't have a house or job though, I want to stay hidden. I don't want anybody finding out my name or knowing that I exist.

I don't want to depend on anybody, I like to be able to make my own decisions and have the freedom to do as I please. Most she-wolves at my age dream about finding their mate and having pups, but I don't want that. I don't want somebody risking their lives for me when I can do it myself. I've avoided even thinking about settling down and risk being discovered.

A scent brought me out if my thoughts and I stood up. I looked around, but saw nothing. I knew it was stupid to just sit in the middle of another pack's territory. I cursed myself for letting my guard down, even for just a second.

I got into a fighting stance when I heard a low growl, signifying that there were werewolves stalking me. I growled loudly, trying to warn them to stay away, but it didn't work.

A large, muscular, tawny wolf stepped out of the brush and flicked its ear, two more wolves, one wolf was reddish and one brown, stepped out from behind him. I took a step back, "Leave me alone, I'm just passing through." I growled. The tawny wolf shifted into a tall, tan, very well built blonde guy with brown eyes. I turned to run, but two other males were behind me. One threw a pair of shorts to the blonde guy, I'm guessing the Beta of this pack, "You know the consequences of trespassing on pack territory." The Beta stepped closer, "I do, but I meant no harm." I said.

"What is your name?" I growled at that. I'm not going to reveal my name, heck I had a fucking cloak on, "I'm not going to answer that." I glared up at the Beta, even though he couldn't see my eyes because of the hood covering my face. The Beta looked at the black haired guy behind me, "Jason, tell Alpha that we've found a rogue on the territory and that we're bringing it to him." He said with authority, but my heart started hammering in my chest.

Fear surged through me at the thought of being discovered after all theses years of being unknown by any wolf. The Beta looked back at me, "Whats the matter? Scared of meeting the Alpha? You should be." I locked eyes with him, "I'm not scared of that, what I'm scared about is nothing of your concern." His eyes held curiosity in them and that took me by surprise. He looked at the reddish wolf and motioned towards me. The wolf gave a curt nod and came up beside me, nudging me forward.

I growled, but reluctantly followed the Beta. I kept my head down the whole time and didn't look up, even when the reddish wolf shifted. I felt the guys eyes bore into my the side of my head, "Not very talkative, are you?" I growled and muttered, "No, I'm not and I'd appreciate if you don't talk to me." He chuckled, "You don't have many friends, do you?" Wow, this mutt really doesn't get the memo, does he? "No, I don't. I'm a rogue for fucks sake, what rogue has friends?" He laughed, "Whoa, we've got a feisty one here, Brent." He said. The Beta growled, "Just leave the poor kid alone." So, I'm guessing his name is Brent.
