The sound of silverware clanging against each other erupted through the restaurant. Michelle, a five-year-old, sat happily in her booth licking the last bit of mint chocolate chip ice cream, her favorite, from her spoon.

"All done!" she said excitedly. Her family shared laughter as they realized most of the green stickiness hadn't entirely made it into Michelle's mouth.

At this moment, the waitress that had been serving them swung by and dropped off the bill.

Michelle eyed the black rectangle intently, "What's that?" she asked.

"The bill, sweetheart," her mother replied.

"Oh, lemme help!" she began to fumble around in her small Hello Kitty purse, and then held up a crumbled five-dollar bill as if it were a trophy.
