Chapter Four: The Split

I saw who the person was, who had knocked out Michonne and held his gun up at Hershel. The Governor, standing right in front of Hershel, he then pointed his gun at me and wanted me to put down my gun. "I don't have one, I don't have a weapon.. I left it in the prison," I said. The Governor came over to me and checked and saw that I wasn't lying, he picked up Michonne telling us to come with him. He brought us to some place, it was like a camp. He sat us down in a trailer home and he had sat Michonne and Hershel down on a chair and I sat down on the ground when he walked out locking the door with guards out front. "What do you think will happen?" Hershel asked, "I don't know, but I'm scared about what might happen, he killed my sister because he knew it would keep me from leaving for another couple of seconds so he could try and grab me so he can try to kill me," I said looking at me arm. That was when Michonne woke up, the Governor hadn't yet put a bandage on her forehead so it was still bleeding, "where are we?" She asked, "the Governor took us, brought us to come camp he set up," I said, "great, then he might as well kill us now," Michonne said, "don't say that, he wont kill us... hopefully," I said, "exactly so he still might kill us," she said, "but Becca is right, we don't know if he will kill us, because of his past he might, but he also might not," Hershel said. It went quiet until the Governor came back into the trailer. "I'm not gonna hurt you," he said grabbing some bandages, "how do we know that?," Hershel said, "you don't," the governor said. "You know, you can't kill any of us.." I said, "why can't I?" He said, "because, then Kat, she'll hate you, she'll be mad," I said, "she couldn't hate me, no matter when I did, and what is she doing in your group?!" He said, "she could, she just doesn't want to, and we saved her, along with the rest of the people at your old group, we took in everyone that you wouldn't take to fight, and I want you to know, my best friend had to kill one of your men... after he freaking killed my sister!" I said and almost scream, "shut your god damn mouth! I don't care what my people did, and what yours did, all I care about, is your people letting ours in, and your people out, no matter how many people I have to kill in the process," he said, "you know, Governor," Hershel started, "don't call me that," The Governor said, "well, you do know that Rick wont let you take the prison," Hershel finished, "I dont care if Rick will or will not let me take the prison from him, I'm going to do what I need to do for the people I care about," he said, "well... don't you care about Kat?" I asked, "shut up, or you'll be the first person I kill," he said. The Governor then walked out, I looked up at Hershel and Michonne and looked back at the ground. It was a couple of hours later and we had gotten to an area in the forest with a river, I could tell because I looked out a window that was in the R.V. Then The Governor and a few other guys came in the and grabbed us and put us in a car, "you're taking a kid!?" Someone said seeing us get taken into the car, "I'm not gonna do anything to her, she just happened to be there when I was gonna get the other two, I didn't want her going back and telling her group," The Governor said, "says the asshole who threatened to kill me!" I yelled glaring at him, "Becca!" Hershel said, I continued to glare at him as I got put into the car, "Becca! What the hell! Watch your mouth, what if Glenn heard you saying that!?" Hershel said, "I dont care anymore! This isn't what life used to be, I wish it was just a damn dream!" I said keeping tears from coming down my face, "well it's not, so we have to deal with what ever comes next," Michonne said, "yeah, and it's gonna be someone's death," I said looking out the window as two people got into the car, one to dive and one to watch the three of us. They were two females, the one watching us had two short pig tailes and had a gun in her hand just in case, the other was obviously driving the car, with longish hair, very wavy and a gun next to her. "Did he really say that he was gonna kill you?" The girl with the pig tails said. I looked over to her and nodded my head. She looked at me in fear, "listen, I'm not trying to lie to you, he isn't what he seems to be, he is a huge liar, he has it out for my group, he started hating us because we raided his group because he was gonna kill my brother and sister-in-law, we woudn't have if he didn't take them... what has he told you? What did he say his name was?" I asked, "Brian Harriet," she said, "that's not his name, it's Phillip, I used to be in his group.. for a day, but he had his men kill my sister to make my stop, and to take me to use me as a warning, he put scars into my arm that I'll show when we get there.." I said. It then got quiet as we drove up to the prison, people got out of the cars and someone poked their head out of a tank. Then the person in the tank shot a missle hitting a guard tower, I quickly looked to see if it was the guard tower that me and Carl are always in or the guard tower that Glenn and Maggie are always in. I saw it wasn't so I layed back releived. I looked over at the prison in so much worry and I soon saw Rick at the fencce by the court yard, "oh my God..." I said staring at Rick. At this point it was just the three of us in the car, I looked at Hershel and Michonne competly worried. I couldn't really hear what was going on but then I saw someone walking to the Car and pulled out Michonne, then someone go on the other side and opened the door, "what about Hershel?" The Governor said. I looked at Hershel in utter fear, then I looked at the people who were at the fence in the court yard. I saw Maggie, Beth, Tyreese, Daryl, Sasha, I even saw Carl, and that was when I had to hold back my tears. "Not sure if you'd have a kid in the counsle, but how about Becca?" He said. A guy pulld me out of the car by the arm hard, "ow!" I said. He threw me down onto the ground unlike what they did for Michonne and Hershel. I picked myself up off the ground and looked up and saw the look on Carl's face, I saw him resisting the urge to shoot The Governor. Then Rick walked down here, I looked up at him and when he looked back to me, he saw my fear, saw everything. Rick and The Governor started talking and I didn't know what they were saying because I lost myself into thought, I was thinking about all the fear and the pain from the last time I saw The Governor. The lost of Andrea, my sisters, and then I remembered what Nina said, 'someone's gonna die,' . 'No... she can't be right... not again.' I thought, 'I'm tired of losing people!' I looked over at the Governor, "no!" I said. Everyone looked at me confused, not knowing what I was doing, "Rick and Hershel are right... no one else to die... but you're right too... it's not over... none if this is EVER gonna be over. No matter how many of the people we care about die, it's not gonna be over, I know this now," I said, "I never said that to you.." the Governor said, "no... you scared it into me in stead," I said, "you know that scar I was talking to you about in the car," I said looking at the girl with the pig tails, "he put it there making it say 'it's not over', and now that I think about it... it's not over, it never will be," I finished. Everyone looked at me, amazed but that's also when I shut up, I sat back on my feet and stared at the ground when Rick and the governor started talking again. "It could work," I suddenly heard from Hershel. I looked at him and got confused when the Governor walked to someone and grabbed Michonne's sword pushing away the girl that had her gun faced at standing behind Hershel as the Governor held the sword to his neck. Rick kept talking to him as I looked up toward him, "you don't have to do it.... you don't, we could figure it out..." I said. Soon the Governor slowly pulled the sword away my Hershel's neck and then looked up, he looked at Rick, I looked at the Governor and then looked at Rick, then looked at Carl, Daryl, Beth, and Maggie. That's when everything stopped, the next thing that I heard was the Governor saying, "Liar." All of a sudden, there was blood on me, on the Governor, some that splashed onto Michonne, on the ground, and on Hershel. I looked over and all I saw was half of Hershel's head off of the Governor's, "no..." I whispered, I fell off my knees and feel onto the ground, I wasn't kneeling, I wasn't sitting, I was laying on the ground, tears going down my face. I was scared, I haven't been this scared since Nina died. I haven't felt this bad of fear since then, I thought this pain didn't exsist anymore, I though I had gone through it all. I guess I got lost in thought because all of a sudden a guy grabbed me making me stand up throwing me back into the ground, he put his foot on top of me and pointed his gun at me, "haha, you're gonna pay for what your group has done!" He said right when he was about to pull the trigger. I closed my eyes, I thought I was done when all of a sudden when I heard a gun shot and when I opened my eyes, I looked up at the guy and there was blood running down his face and fell to the ground. Michonne came over to me and grabbed me, "are you crazy!? Are you trying to get killed?" she said as she took off my ties. I looked at her, I've never had this look on my face, "what?" She said, "I- I'm scared..." I said. Michonne looked at me and she quickly put a gun in my hand, "Becca, you're gonna have to... I know you don't, but you have to, to protect the people you love," I looked at her and I held the gun and looked at Michonne and nodded my head and ran. I ran into the yard and I saw Carl, "Becca! Let's go! Find my dad and lets go!" He said, "No! Not without Lucy and Alexis!" I said, "and what if you don't find her!? You'll die!" He yelled at me, "well! I'm not leaving without her, I saw Maggie put Glenn on the bus! So now I'm going to find my sisters, if I don't find her then I'll find someone and eventually join up back with you, but I have to find them!" I said and ran. After I ran off, I heard Carl yell after me, but when I looked back, he didn't run after me and I ran to find my sisters. I eventually found Lucy and she was holding Alexis, "come on, we can't look for anyone, we have to get out of here!" She said, "but Carl, I told him.." I said, "I know you want to go back to him, but you can't, we have to go Becca, come on," she said as we ran.
