Hey guys! So, it's Saturday and it's time to update this story like I promised. :)

Ok, hope you guys like it! Thanks for reading!

Rebeca's P.O.V.

As I walked down the stairs with my head down to make sure I won't trip and fall to my death, my hair fell over my right shoulder making a curtain between Connor and I and I was glad for once that my hair was long enough so it can cover my face because I couldn't stop myself from grinning widely. I was excited to see where Connor and I were going on a date - I mean HANG OUT! He probably doesn't like you like that stupid, he probably just likes you as a friend. I thought sadly. I pushed the thought aside because I wanted to make the most of this 'date-even-though-it's-really-just-hanging-out' as I was calling it.

Connor and I stayed silent as we descended the stairs; it wasn't an awkward silence - more of a comfortable silence. I wasn't the type of person who HAD to fill every second with talking and it felt nice just to think while a very handsome guy was beside me. OMG! I ACTUALLY AM HANGING OUT WITH A HOT GUY! I just realized. I mentally started to squeal because I normally didn't have the chance to say that I am going on a date with a hot guy - okay, okay, I know it's not a date but it's easier to say. What the hell Beca?! Stop thinking like that! He's just a normal guy and you guys are going to normally hang out - nothing special about that!

As we started to reach the bottom of the stairs, I looked up to the lounge area to find that most of the people who were there earlier weren't there anymore. Probably got bored and went to their rooms or somewhere else. I thought to myself.

Then, me being the klutz I was, I missed the 2nd to last step because I was still looking around the lounge area and suddenly I was falling. I heard myself gasp loudly and felt myself shut my eyes, waiting for the impact of the fall which would result in many bruises and a sprained ankle most likely.

But I never felt the cold, hard tiles. Instead, I felt 2 strong, muscular arms grasp me - 1 arm around the front of my shoulders and another around my waist from behind. I opened my eyes to find myself looking at the floor instead of being on the floor. I glanced up to find a chuckling Connor, still holding me with my feet dangling in midair behind me.

"You alright there? You kinda fell." Connor chuckled with an amused expression on his face.

"Yeah, I'm fine." I said in a small voice. I was still winded from the almost fall.

Connor then slowly placed me upright with my feet on the ground as he was still holding me in midair. Wow, he really must be strong if he can hold me for that long! As I felt my feet being placed to the ground, I expected Connor to let me go; instead he just shifted both of his arms so that one hand was on my waist and his other hand was placed on my shoulder. I looked up at him. His amused expression changed in seconds to concerned.

"Rebeca, are you really okay? You're breathing really hard and you're shaking..." Connor asked with worry written all over his face.

I then realized that I was breathing short, hard breaths and was also shaking a little. I was in that state because of the almost fall and because of how close I was to Connor. Where Connor had held me before to catch me from falling, it felt like my skin was on fire. He still had his hands on my shoulder and waist. I felt my skin getting goosebumps and a silent shiver ran down my spine. My eyes slowly trailed their way up to his gorgeous green eyes.

"Yeah, um, I-I-I, um, am j-just still winded from the fall..." I trailed off sounding very stupid. I wasn't going to tell him that I also was like this because of him.

Even though he still looked at me with concerned eyes, he didn't say anything more. Instead, he just turned and whilst doing so, he wrapped his arm around my shoulders in a comforting manner, leading me to the glass doors. I was sure that he could feel my uneven heartbeat pounding. I didn't really know what to do - no guys had ever done this sort of thing before to me because I never had a boyfriend since Sarah always got the attention from boys and it surprised me that Connor did this. Why was his arm around me? Was he just being a friend? Does he like me? Why me? Why not Sarah? All these thoughts were going through my head while we approached the glass doors that lead outside.
