The HitchHike

Well I'm driving around the highway in a stressed mood. I just got in a fight with my mother and driving always keeps me calm for some reason. But that's another story lets stick with this one for now. As I was saying I've been driving around the highway for hours and hours I didn't really know where I was or which direction I was going to tell you the truth. But I didn't really care I just wanted to keep driving. There wasn't many cars around. Actually I was the only car driving in that highway. I didn't know what was up but I didn't let it bother me. What happened next did.

After driving another 15 minutes I noticed that there was a guy standing on the side of the street with his thumb up he had a hat on so I couldn't see his face. I didn't think it was a good idea to give him a ride so I kept driving. But after driving a quarter of a mile I realized that he is in the middle of nowhere so I turned around. As soon as he saw my car he put his thumb up again. I stopped and asked him "where to" and he responded by saying "anywhere but here" So he sat in the from seat next to me. He finally took off his hat and I couldn't help but notice how gorgeous his face was and how his blue eyes made me shake. But I tried to stay quiet and not make conversation with him, but then out of nowhere he said "I'm Jake by the way" I looked at him and smiled. I responded "I'm Gina". Then the conversation continued.

Jake: So why did you choose to give me a ride?

Gina: I just did it out of the goodness of my own heart.

Jake: Sure. That's the reason why (he said in a sarcasm voice)

Gina: Hey, you were in the middle of nowhere, I could have just left you there if I wanted to you know.

Jake: But you didn't.

Gina: ...

Jake: And for that I Thank You. (he turned his head and smiled)

Gina: You're Welcome.

Jake: So where are you from?

Gina: Spring Road, California

Jake: Wow, long way from home now aren't ya?

Gina: Driving keeps me calm, ok. (she said in a loud voice)

Jake: Alight no need to get cranky.

Gina: And what about you dumbie what are you doing here in the middle of no where?

Jake: It doesn't concern you

Gina: And you're calling me the cranky one...

Jake: Ha-ha! I like you you're funny.

He had the most soothing laugh that I have ever heard.

Gina: But you don't know anything thing about me.

Jake: So, don't you believe in love at first sight?

Gina: ... ( Gina began to blush)

Jake: I'm just kidding.

Gina: Are you always like this?

Jake: Like what?

Gina: Never mind just forget it. (she said in a stubborn voice)

Jake: Sounds like to be that you don't want me around.... Stop the car. (Gina slowly stopped the car) I guess you can leave me here I'll walk the rest of the way.
