You Again

Juliet's POV

This year is going to be amazing! I have it all planned out. I'm going to get amazing grades and apply in extra curricular activities for my college applications. But the best part of it is that I'll be accompanied by my best friend Aaliyah.

Aaliyah is amazing. She's been my best friend since we were in the first grade. It all happened when it was nap time and I had forgot my blanket. She offered to share and ever since then, we've been inseparable.

I'm glad that I am able to stay in San Antonio for the rest of high school. My parents are marine biologist and they are on an " adventure " to this island. I forgot what it was called. Lian Island, I think. I have no idea. I usually zone out when they talk about it.  I was suppose to go but I didn't want to leave. Luckily for me, Aaliyah's family have a guest room and they offered me a place to stay.

Living with them should be amazing.

"Juliet! Come on! My mom made dinner!" Aaliyah yelled from downstairs.

I finished my blog and closed my laptop. I would continue writing but a girls got to eat her food. I ran downstairs in my bunny slippers only to be greeted by a knock at the door.

"I'll get it!" I yelled to the kitchen while reaching out to open the door. I looked up and as I started to talk I was interrupted by this gorgeous guy running into the house with luggage.

"Damn Aaliyah, you took forever to open the do--" he stopped as he realized who he was talking to. "Oh sorry... Who are you?"

"Who are you?" I asked. It's pretty rude for a stranger or even a family friend to just barge in like that and then turn around to get mad at Aaliyah.

"Um, I'm Shawn... I live here?" My eyes widened as he said those words. I haven't seen Shawn since freshman year and I'm now entering my senior year. He has really ... Grown up.

"It's me... Juliet." I saw while waving my hand and smiling.

"Ah, I should've known by those bunny slippers." He says while chuckling and unpacking his luggage on the couch as if it was his room. Typical boys. I just laugh then look down to see I actually am wearing my bunny slippers. I feel a burning sensation on my cheeks and realize I'm blushing.

"Hey Jul, dinners rea-- SHAWN!!! Oh my gosh I've missed you so much!! It's been two years bro!" Aaliyah yells while jumping onto Shawn's back.

"Yo, Aaliyah. Slow your roll. You're 17 and you STILL jump on my back. I can't hold all that." He says while laughing. She jumps off and stares at him.

"Oh yeah? A contest!!" She yells as the both lift their shirt and show their abs. I laugh at this little competition they have.

"Ha, looks like little Shawnie has been slacking up in Cali." She says knowing she has won.

"Chill little sis. Let's go eat dinner." He says while running to the dining room.

Shawn's POV

It's mind blowing how much a person can change in two years. Last time I saw Juliet she was a small sophomore who thought green eyeshadow was cool and that pig tails were " hip ". Now she's just stunning. I can see she's not wearing makeup but even then she's breath taking.

"So Shawn, what's brings you to San Antonio?" My mom asked while serving the mashed potatoes.

"Well... Iwaskickedoutofcollege" I say really fast. It almost sounded like a whole word.

"I knew it!" Aaliyah says while flinging potatoes at my face.

"Well since you're expected to live here then... Go to your room, your grounded. And no steak for you! Just mashed potatoes!" She yells as I leave the dining room.

"You owe me $20 mom!" Aaliyah yells to her mom while laughing.

2 hours later

I hear a knock on my door and get up.

"Hey, Aaliyah and I are watching a movie in the theater. You can join if you want." Juliet says while giving me a cheesy smile and walking off.

This girl will be the death of me. It's crazy but, her smile is just mesmerizing. Too bad she's almost two years younger than me.

I quickly gather my blanket and pillow and meet them down in the garage a.k.a. The Theatre Room.

I open the door and hear a bunch of things drop to the floor. I realize I had pushed open the door onto Juliet and she had all the movies in her hand.

"Yo, I'm so sorry. I didn't realize anyone was there." I say while bending down and grabbing the movies.

"It's ok! My fault for standing by the door." She laughs and grabs movies.

Our hands accidentally touch and I feel and spark.

"Ow, hey you shocked me!" She said while laughing.

Oh well.
