My Name (A/N)

Okay, so hopefully is is going to be the last authors not with an actually chapter for a long time. I'm writing the next one, so don't worry. A couple of days max. This is just something that I've been thinking about a lot recently. So, if you didn't know, my actual name is not Juliet. I was born in Beijing, China, and my family moved when I was about 9. When we moved, I was able to choose an English name if I wanted. As a 9 year old who was excited to move to the U.S. of A., I chose Juliet. My mom had read me a few English texts before (most of how I learned English was from her reading with me), and my favorite was Romeo and Juliet. I loved the mix of romance and tragedy, and it is still one of my favorites. Now, my actual name, is Mei, but I go by Juliet or Julie. Most people in real life either call me Julie, or Mei (my family and all of my schools mostly). Now the thing I've been thinking about a lot lately is that I might start going by Mei. It's what I was called as a child and by my family, and sometimes my close friends and girlfriend anyways, so I'm trying to figure it out. I don't know. I love the name I usually go by, I really do, but I kind of want to go by my actual name.

So this was just kind of a rant. As of right now, I'm keeping the name Juliet on here, but if I do stop going by Juliet, I might change it. You guys can call me whatever you want. Juliet, Julie, Mei, asshole, they're all me. The weird shithead on the Internet. My main reason for writing this was just kind of to get my thought written down. In all honesty, I'm not sure why I'm posting it to the Internet but hey, it is what it is. Until next time... (And I promise the actual chapter won't be as delayed as last time. I'm really sorry about that).
