Riley POV

Once upon in a far away land, known as New York City, there lived a young girl with hopes and dreams. Me, Riley Matthews. I had a loving father and mother by my side every step of the way. Sadly, when I was 3 years old, my mother past away of leukemia. Until I was 12 years old, it has always been my father Cory and I. He taught me all I know about sports and being the tomboy that I am today. Every night he'd read me the same fairytale stories that made my mind wander. Before I was born, my dad owned a Diner named after my mother "Topanga's". I was a sports dinner, with autographed pictures of famous athletes and a quote above the register saying "Never let the fear of striking out keep you from playing the game." I basically lived by that quote everyday of my life. One day at my 12th birthday party, I had it at the dinner and invited all my friends and even the staff. When it was time for cake, I made a wish that my father would fall in love again with someone just as beautiful as Topanga. Boy was I wrong. A woman was walking to leave the diner and slipped on a spilled drink and fell into my father's arms. This woman's name was Lauren. She had a previous marriage that didn't work out and she has to daughters, Amanda and Sara. They were just as snotty as she was. They fell in love and got married. After they got married, I was never really in the picture anymore. One night, my father and I were reading The Princess and the Frog when I asked my dad "Dad, where do princesses go to school?" He was a little taken back from my idiotic question "Uhh they gooooo... to...Princeton. And I hope one day you'll get to that school Riley." And he kissed me on the forehead. The next day he went out to work. On his way home, he was struck by a drunk driver and didn't survive the crash. That was the day my best friend died. Because he never wrote a will, Lauren got everything: the house, the diner, and most of all, me. Sara and Amanda took over my room and I was moved to the attic instead. Lauren basically forces me to work as a maid and at the diner which she renamed "Lauren's." She turned the lovable sports diner into a 1960's diner where everything was pink, we had to wear rollerblades as part of the uniforms, and they served everything, AND I MEAN EVERYTHING, with salmon.

Now I'm a senior and high school and the only friend I had was my friend Farkle. He is an aspiring actor and managed to stay with me through my ups and downs. We are complete opposites, but I would replace him for anyone in the world. He was rich, but he could tell anyone because he knew they would only use him for his money. I love him no matter what his bank account looked like.

Farkle and I are a part of the few social outcasts of school. I only get noticed as "Diner Girl" because most of the school eats at "Lauren's."

What many people don't know, except for Farkle obviously, was that when I wasn't being Riley "Diner Girl" Matthews, I was PrincetonGirl in a secret chat room with a guy I befriended who's username was Maddog. We started talking a while ago when I first created my account. Everything was anonymous so we couldn't know anything about each other unless we asked over messaging. Hopefully I meet him one day.

I'm just excited to graduate and get as far away from Lauren and my problems as soon as possible.

Hey guys. I wanted to rewrite this story a little because Incompletely forgot Lauren was a character and I wanted to use her. I have been gone for a while and I'm sorry but i have finals this week and then a camp next week so i probably won't be writing again for a while.
