[Hello! Welcome to Don't Leave Me Be a Tyler Joseph fanfic! The main character is Emery Dun, and I've chosen Lights or Valerie to portray her. I hope you enjoy this story, and I most of all hope that you'll stick around with it]||Emery June Dun||First Person||
Sneaking in at 2 am is a normal thing for me, despite that, I almost always get caught, as my siblings don't understand the importance to be quiet, so they don't wake up the wildebeest at the end of the hallway, known to others as Momma Dun.
She's a great mom, but is still an ass when it comes to anyone in this house doing anything wrong. Who isn't an ass to their kids when they crawl in at 2 am, trying not to wake the whole household, and progressively gets more and more disappointed in them, labelling them as the family mistake.
Sure, I go out and get hammered often, and surely regret it the next day, but it's not like I'm a 16 year old girl, who is experiencing it all for the first time, drinking more than her limits, and found puking her guts out on the side of the room.
The floorboards creak under my weight, as I awkwardly try to navigate my way to the stairway, cautious of my every step. Wincing as one particular piece of wood makes a loud noise, I scurry towards the winding staircase, hoping that before anyone wakes up in this deadly silent house, I'll already be in my room, where no one will expect me to be.
Unfortunately, I've never had the luxury of luck, and the rare occasion that I do, it wasn't with me tonight. One of the doors in our upstairs squeals open, and I curse myself for not being quieter. "Emery? Is that you?" The voice of my brother Josh, rings out softly from the entire house.
I sigh, letting my head hang in defeat. "Yeah, it's me," I mumble, not needing to be loud for Josh to hear it.
"Tyler wants you to know how early it is," he chuckles, his voice coming from the dark of the house.
"Emery wants Tyler to know that she knows how early it is," Relaying my words, to the most likely sleepy, Tyler Joseph, I hear a faint snort coming from the direction of Josh's room. Not spending another second at the bottom of the stairs, I rush upwards, trying to vault myself into my room, only to be stopped by the hinges of another door creaking open.
"Josh, are you talking to your sister?" Momma Dun's voice joins in with the new shuffling around the upstairs of our home, and at that exact moment, it's up to Josh and Tyler to let me keep my asshole the way that it originally was.
Unfortunately, the two of them have never been the greatest liars, and our mom knows exactly how to get the two birds to squawk, and the tone of her voice, which can be seen as threatening, seems to pull the truth right out of them.
"Yeah," Josh answers quickly, shooting me what seems to be an apologetic look from what I can see in the dark. My lips are tugged into a frown, and I turn, looking straight down the hall at the unhappy wildebeest.
"Emery June Dun, you and I are going to have a nice long chat, about the importance of not going out drinking until early morning," Her voice sends me the message that she's disappointed in me, which isn't anything new.
"Funny story mom, I actually didn't drink tonight, or last night. I was helping Audrey get home," I try to shrug off the simple fact that it wasn't all that hard to get her home, but to get her away from the bar, and whatever the fuck she was smoking, now that was the issue and what took so damn long.
"Mhmm, tomorrow morning, we'll be talking," and with that, the usually happy Momma Dun, closes her door with a click, and I let out a sigh. Turning my heel, I shoot a glare at my older brother.
"You are so terrible at saving someone's ass, I wonder how you manage to keep a release date away from fans," I grumble, swinging my door open, walking into one of the few places I feel welcome, and letting it click close on it's own.
Pulling off my black sweater first, and then my skinny jeans, I curl under my blankets, letting the warmth envelope me, as I think of all the reasons why I actually tolerate Audrey, and I find (not to my surprise) that it's a very short list.

I never plan on sleeping till noon, but it always seems to be that one of my siblings has to wake me up, by breaking into my room, and being really loud or something. It's mainly Josh that does this, as I tolerate him the most out of everyone in my family, as since being a drummer, he specializes in making a lot of noise, with or without his drum set.
Hearing a faint rustling in the background, I grumble, before being jolted awake by the crash of drumsticks against one of Josh's beautiful drums. If that wasn't enough, Tyler joins in with strumming his ukulele, shouting at me to wake up.
"Wake up! Wake up! Momma Dun wants to see her stay at home daughter," His feet thump against the floor of my room, and I hear Josh laughing, as I shuffle in my bed. deciding that enough was enough, I throw one of my pillows at nowhere, a smirk crawling on my face when I hear a certain Joseph curse at me.
Realizing that I'll have to get out of the warm spot on my bed, I groan, pulling the covers closer towards me. Discarding the ukulele, Tyler starts to shout louder, stepping up on my bed, and jumping.
He's like a little kid, I swear.
"Alright, Alright ALRIGHT!" I shout back, curling into a ball, "I'm up, okay? Now get off my damn bed,"
Deciding that it was a victory, I swear that Tyler smirked at Josh, and steps off of my bed. "Your mom wants to see you," He squeaks out, before grabbing his ukulele, and leaving the room with Josh. Hearing the door click, I untangle myself out of the countless blankets I have on my bed.
I scourge the mess of my room for a clean shirt, before deciding that a Fall Out Boy one was clean enough, and a pair of clean pair of sweatpants.
Leaving my hair a mess, I swing open my door, and hurry down the stairs where Momma Dun was having a coffee, the news playing the background quietly.
[Hello again! This is probably a very messy chapter, but if I'm being honest, first chapters are always the hardest for me to write, so it's expected in my eyes to be crap. Anyways, I hope you liked it c:]
Farewell!
