"Get out." I spat. "I dont ever want to see your face again."

"Come on." Chaz said. "Hear me out."

"Why should I?!" I said. "Your gonna believe a girl you've known for who knows how long over your best friend, who you've known your whole life."

"Sky-"

"Only my friends call me that." I spat, interupting him, "You can call me Skylar."

Chaz was sieltn. "I'll call you Skylar, only if you look at me."

"No!" I yelled.

"Look." Chaz said. "It's not my fault your being an ingrateful little turd!" I turned around, and slammed my hand to his cheek.

He staggered backwards, holding his cheek with his hand.

"Ha!" he yelled. "Your looking at me!" Hot tears formed in my eyes, and I shoved him out of my room, locking the door.

"And don't you ever come back!" I yelled, and threw myself onto my bed, silently crying into my pillow.

Chaz

What the hell have you done, Chaz? I thought to myself. I leaned against the door, and slid to the floor. I could hear Justin and Lynn playing X-Box. Lynn was obviously loosing, cause she kept on screaming

"How do you work this thing?!"

I put my head in my hands. The stinging of my cheek didn't nearly hurt as bad as I felt. Lynn, Justin, and Skylar were right.

I was being a jerk.

"Now Skylar won't ever talk to me again." I said. I looked at the closed door behind me, and knocked lightly.

"Go away." she said. My heart cracked, and I stood. The door was locked, so I knew either Justin or Lynn had to speak to Skylar.

"What did you do?" Lynn asked, walking out into the hall. Justin not far behind.

"I pissed her off." I said. "I didn't mean to! I just wanted her to look at me."

Lynn gave me a funny look. "Your stupid." she said, and knocked on the door. "Sky it's Lynn. Let me in."

"alone." she spat. The door cracked open, and Lynn slipped in. I tried to peek into the doors crack, just to see Skylar.

The door closed too soon. I didn't see anything.

"You don't know how to talk to angry women, do you?" Justin asked, leaning against the wall. I shook my head.

"I just..." I looked back at the closed door.

"you like her don't you?" Justin asked.

"Who?" I asked. Justin nodded his head towards the closed bedroom door.

"Lynn or Skylar?" I asked.

"Skylar dude!" Justin yelled I shushed him.

"Yea." I answered.

"Then why can't you just tell her?" he asked.

"Cause she's pissed at me." I said. Justin shrugged.

"Maybe if you told her you liked her, she would at least lighten up just alittle." he said, patting my shoulder. "Go tell her."

"The doors locked." I said.

"Key on the top of the doorframe." Justin said. I gave him a weird look, and ran my fingers on the top of the door. They landed on the metal key, and my eyes widened.

"And you didn't tell me this because?" I asked.

Justin shrugged. "I just wanted to see how long it took for you to figure out." I glarred playfully at him, and slipped the key into it's hole.

I opened the door, and Skylar and Lynn looked at me.

"Get out!" Skylar yelled, throwing a pillow at me.

"Listen." I said.

"Why should I?" Skylar yelled.

"Because!" I yelled back. Lynn's eyes grew wide, and she stood.

"Stay." Skylar said.

"I'll stand over there." Lynn said, and walked over to the other side of the room. She sank down to the floor, and watched us carefully.

"Why should I?" Skylar asked, alittle more calmer.

"Because." I said, just as calm as her. "I have something to say."

Skylar gave me a look, telling me silently to continue.

"I like you." I said. Lynn snorted.

"What?" I asked.

"We already knew that." Skylar said, arms crossed. "We could hear you through the door."

My face burned slightly, and I could hear Justin cracking up behind me.

"Shut up, man!" I said, shutting the door, and locking it.

"Real smart, dude." Justin said.

"I've got the key, stupid." I said.

Justin muttered something, and I could hear him walking off. I smiled then looked back at Skylar.

"If you like me." Skylar said. "Then why did you go out with Rachel?"

I ran a hand through my hair. "I don't know."

"Theres a reason behind everything." Skylar said.

"I guess...when you left, I felt alittle..sad." I said. "And when I went out with Rachel, I guess she kinda help fill that hole.."

Skylar rolled her eyes.

"But she never did."

"Never did what?" Skylar asked.

"Fill it. She only filled bits and peices."

"Awww." Lynn said.

"Then why didn't you go out with Lynn?" Skylar asked.

"Gross." I said. Lynn's mouth hung open, and she kicked me. "Also she's not my type."

"Bitch." she muttered.

"Language!" Justin yelled past the door.

"And I knew Justin liked her!" I yelled. Lynn's head snapped up.

"Thats it." Justin said. I heard Skylar giggle, and look at me.

"Your fogriven." she said, smiling.

"Good." I said. "I don't think I could have taken much longer with you hating me." Skylar smiled, and walked up to me, wrapping her arms around me in a hug.

"Thats cute." Lynn said, and opened the door, just as Justin came running in. He slowed his pace before he could run into the wall.

But he didn't slow it fast enough. He ran smack into the wall.

"You could have told me you were opening the door!" Justin said, looking at me.

"I didn't open it." I said. Lynn stood next to the door, hand still on the knob.

"Your gonna get it." Justin said. Lynn screamed, and ran out of the room, and down the hall. Justin followed her.

I turned back to Skylar, who smiled at me. I smiled back, and gently pressed my lips to her cheek.

"So you weren't lieing when you told me you liked me?" she asked.

"Nope." I answered.

"Good." she said, then smacked me a second time on the same cheek.

"What was that for?"

"For calling me an ingrateful little turd." she said, smiling. "Just wanted you to know, don't ever call me that again, cause I can do much worse."

I chuckled nervously, and ran out of the room, and down the hallway.

Skylar close behind.
