Chapter 21- Different turn of events.

(A/N: Guys, I just want you to know just in case you're confused with the flow of the story, I just think that it would be great if we could see the other character's lives because I have been focusing too much on Merida and well, the other characters don't have much screentime).

As the two teens watched how Elinor stab Claude Frollo, Merida whispered something to Hiccup and gave him Rapunzel.

The two walked out leaving the three ladies, Merida tapped her mother's arm and told her not to kill Frollo. Not for now.

"Why?" Esmeralda asked.

"Mam, I just want to ask him something. But please do not take off the dagger and I need a chair and ropes please" Merida explained.

Esmeralda and Elinor nodded then went to get what Merida asked for, they left her for a bit inside the faculty. She turned her head on Frollo who was now glaring at her, his blood was still pouring out of his chest and mouth.

(A/N: He's still paralyzed but he can talk).

She looked around the faculty room and noticed it was a mess. She looked up and saw a CCTV camera and it was on.

'How come the CCTV cam's on but no one tried to help them?' Merida asked herself.

She looked at the windows, it was open.

'Now that's weird, with the window wide open there's a big chance of someone hearing them fighting' She thought.

"Enjoying the view?" Claude asked, coughing up blood.

Merida turned to glare at him and then she grabbed his neck tightly.

"Tell me, Claude? Is this all a set-up?" Merida asked, her voice was laced with venom.

"N-no! Wh-what made you think of that?" Claude asked.

"Answer my question! The CCTV cam's on! And the window's open! Anyone could see or hear from the outside, so tell me Frollo, is this a set-up?" Merida hissed her grip getting a little tighter that she could break his neck.

Frollo shook his head and his breath came out in short gasps. "N-no!"

Merida took the dagger's handle and twisted it a little more. She knows he's a ghost so he won't die easily.

"Tell me now, Frollo or this dagger will slide up until your throat. I'm not joking" Merida said.

Claude laughed at her in a mocking way. "No. And you can't make me!" He shouted.

Merida smirked and quickly twisted the dagger then slowly slid it up to his collar bone, Claude could only scream.

"So? Frollo? Are you going to tell me now?" Merida asked.

Claude opened his eyes and gasped. "Yes! Oh God, yes!"

"Who did this? Who's the mastermind?" -Merida.

"I-it's... It's" -Claude.

"Who?!"

"Esmeralda! It's Esmeralda! She wanted your mother's body so she be young again" Claude said.

Merida gasped. Her mother's with Esmeralda!

"H-how did that happen?! She helped my Mother! She even tried to kill you!" Merida asked.

Frollo coughed out blood before answering, "Esmeralda, she asked me to help her and in exchange she will find me a body to use so we can live forever again."

"But why did you agree when you knew she would kill you?"

"Because of Love... I love Esmeralda to the point I will give everything to her, even my life" Frollo said. "It was all an act, we planned it carefully from the beginning. When she saw your mother... Her eyes immediately shone with greed and I know she wants your mother's body at first, I-I didn't want to agree but-" Frollo could not take the pain anymore so he fell down.

Her eyes widened as Frollo's body slumped to the ground.

"Merida?!" Rapunzel shouted from the door.

Merida turned to look at her, Rapunzel was horrified of the blood staining her friend's shirt and hands and so is Frollo's bloody body on the floor.

"Punzie, we need to find Mom! Esmeralda is the true culprit here, she'll use my Mom's body!" Merida said you can sense the fright and panic in her voice.

Rapunzel nodded then they both ran away from the faculty to find Hiccup and her mother, they left Frollo's body there. He'll turn into ashes anyways.

Meanwhile...

Elinor was just following Esmeralda since they were looking for a rope. The janitor's closet is on the East wing of the school, Elinor noticed Esmeralda's constant twitching.

"Mam Esme? Are you alright?" She asked politely.

"Hu-Heh? I am alright M' dear..." She answered in a freaky way, Elinor ignored it.

They took a sharp turn. 'This pathway is kinda dark...' Elinor thought.

They turned left and there's where Esmeralda pinned Elinor on the wall, it was too fast for Elinor to react so Esmeralda used this to her advantage. She touched Elinor's forehead and then... Elinor fell asleep.

Esmeralda carried her like a sack. Just as Esmeralda was about to walk again, she heard a gasp. She turned around to see a male student looking at them. Esmeralda was about to yell at him but he already ran away.

She 'tsk'-ed and hurriedly walked again to the dim path.

"Merida, why are we looking for Esmeralda?" Hiccup asked as the three of them ran around the hallways of the school.

"Esmeralda. She wants my mother's body so she could be young again" Merida said as they come to a stop.

They looked around but the halls were deserted.

They decided to split up so they can find Merida's mom faster, Rapunzel on the left. Hiccup in the middle. And Merida on the other side.

They were all tensed, Hiccup took a turn and his body accidentally collided to a guy.

"Hey, watch it man!" Hiccup groaned.

The guy looked at him with frightened eyes, he grabbed both of his shoulders and the he started to shake him.

"Th-there's an old lady back there! She was carrying Professor Elinor and I think she needs help!" The guy said.

Hiccup's eyes widened and asked where did he see them. The guy pointed from where he ran and said, "East wing. If you find a dimly lit pathway then there it is"

Hiccup thanked him and called the two girls. In less than a minute they were both already where Hiccup is.

He told them what the guy told him earlier then they all headed out to find where the East wing is.
