"Hey.. My name is Ellie." I answer to the guy who's a little more drunk than he should be. Why did I even come here? I never party or do anything like that. Okay maybe I do sometimes, but I don't get drunk. Every time. Well maybe a little but I'm a good girl.
My appearance is not that different from any other girl, really, even tough some people think of me as 'naturally beautiful'. My hair is a little darker shade of blonde naturally, but I've dyed the tips of my hair with turquoise dip dye. My eyes are greenish and my skin is white, but a little tan cause I've sat in the sun, a lot.
I like to think I’m energetic, positive, but a little sensitive cause of my experiences. My prejudices to other people has not yet allayed and to gain my trust takes time. I love books and movies, They sort of get my imagination rolling and life isn’t so grey and boring, as it sometimes is. Playing the piano and music is really close to my heart and it’s a way to express myself.
"That's an unusual, but beautiful name Ellie. So, do you come to this kind of places often?" The guys slurs, as he breaks my train of thought.
"Well not really, I just came here to meet someone." I tell him looking around, where the hell is she?
"Oh, well.. If you want to.. well you know, get it on with me I'm available." He says winking his other eye. The guy isn't even that attractive.
"No thank you. Even if I was drunk -and I'm not-, I wouldn't. Now if you can excuse me I gotta go to the bathroom." I tell him to get out of the situation.
"I can come with you if-" He starts.
"No I think I can handle it myself, thanks." I say to him and walk to the bathroom. Oh god what just happened.
I look in the mirror and fix my makeup and tug a little at my skirt, it's way too short. Why did I put it on again? I look at my hair, it's perfectly curled, and even if I say so myself I look decent.
I glance at my short blue converse and then nod my head, i think I'm fine to go, the weird dude will probably leave me alone anyways. I walk out of the bathroom and onto the dance floor. I've taken a lot of dancing lessons so I do know how to dance, even tough you'd think I can't judging by the fact that I never party.
I really want to go home, but I have to wait for Sophia. And her boyfriend. He's nice and so is she, but they party really much so I don't see them so often. That's why they invited me. They wanted me to know what partying feels like. Honestly this is actually pretty fun.
If you don't mention the fact that guys keep bumping to me and trying to dance with me.
I've actually had one boyfriend so far. I just want to wait for that one guy to sweep me off my feet, even tough I really fell in love with the guy I was with. But he broke my heart. And judging by how my friends reacted to their boyfriend leaving them brokenhearted all the time, I'm a little afraid to even fall in love again to be honest, but I just miss having someone there for me. I can handle myself tough so I don't really need one. Of course I've been on dates, but the guys don't ever seem to impress me.
After about 10 minutes of dancing I hear someone shout my name, and I turn around. Finally, she's here.
"Sophia!" I yell exited and run to hug her. We're good friends, we just don't see as often as we used to.
"I see you're having fun pushing guys off you." She laughs and I join her with a chuckle.
"Yeah, I just don't exactly want guys dry humping me, you know?" I ask her not waiting for an answer.
"Wheres Harry?" I add looking around. Harry's usually everywhere Sophia is.
"Oh, he wen to get us some drinks. He told us to wait somewhere where he could find us." She says smiling and looks around waiting for him. They really are in love. At least the way they look at each other, looks like they're both crazy about one another.
I mean, you can find your true love at 20, right? I mean they met when Sophia turned 16, but they've been dating for a long time and they seem perfect to each other.
"Okay, cool. But um, isn't your's and Harry's anniversary soon?" I ask her.
"Yeah it's in two days. One year and six months full." She says excited. She's so bubbly.
As I was just about to react, saying that she culd've jst said one and a half years, Harry came and sat next to Sophia, since we were sitting down now.
"Hey Sophia, I was just thinking, maybe we could put Ellie and Louis together? Since he's single." Harry says to Sophia like I wasn't in the room and I chuckle a little. I've always liked Louis, but I don't know if he likes me. And they know my feelings for him, especially Sophia.
"Yeah that would actually be a great idea, we should totally call him here now!" She says pulling out her phone and glancing at me with a smirk. This is why she's my best friend.
"You really don't have to." I say to them with a laugh.
"Too late." She says and puts the phone on her ear. She waits for a few seconds but then started speaking.
"Hey Louis, want to come party with me, Harry and Ellie?" She says to the phone. This feeling of suspense. I don't know what he's saying and it's really disturbing.
"Okay cool, see you at the Domino." she says and I immediately smile, he's coming.
As she hangs up she squeaks and tells me he's coming, oh really? Obviously.
"I'm really surprised we haven't been mobbed yet." I say to them and Sophia giggles.
"Yeah me too, normally we get mobbed the minute we step out the door." She laughs and I nod.
"I guess they just haven' noticed us yet." Harry mutters ans Sophia and I burst in to a fit of laughter.
"Well no shit." Sophia says with a grin to Harry, and Harry starts to laugh too. They are just so hilarious sometimes.
After what seems to be forever, Louis walks up to us with a smile.
"Hey guys!" He says smirking, and sits next to me, since there was an empty space. I instantly try to hide my nervousness, but it's kind of hard judging by the fact I have major butterflies in my stomach.
"Hi Louis." Sophia says with Harry, in unison.
"Hey." I say with a shy smile and he turns to look at me for a moment or two but he turned back to Harry and Sophia as Harry coughs loudly, on purpose obviously, and I shift uncomfortably just like Louis as Sophia scolds Harry but he's just laughing.
"Sophia, come dance with me?" Harry asks her after a few moments and she smiles a bit before nodding, an they walk over to the dance floor. Leaving me with Louis.
"They really are madly in love." Louis says with a small chuckle after a while of watching as they dance together, and talking about random stuff.
"Yeah, it's really cute." I say to him.
"How have you been lately? I haven't seen you in a while." Louis says turning his attention to me.
"I'm fine I guess. I've just been working and stuff. Nothing unusual." I say to him. "What about you?" I add.
"I'm fine.. the usual.. But are you saying you've done nothing but work, eat and sleep?" He asks clearly surprised.
"Well.. Yeah sort of." I say with a small laugh. That makes me sound so boring. He's quiet for a few seconds in thought.
"Have you been here before?" He asks gesturing the club we're in.
"No.." I say to him with a smile.
"Come on, I need t show you something in that case." He says with a smirk and starts walking somewhere.
Where is he going?
