A Thug's True Love: Chapter 26
~Arley P.O.V.~
"Holy fucking shit. No way. What are you doin here?" I stepped up and pulled him in for a hug
"What? I can't just stop by and see family?" He laughed as he hugged me back
"You're a punk ass bastard. You ont call, text or anything and you just show up out of the blue? Damn how you been Aldo?" I let him go and our mom went inside so it was just us two
"I've been pretty good, can't complain. Me n Gabriel been kickin it out in Chicago like G's. Did mom tell you Gabriel has a son too?"
"Oh shit really? He out here too?" I asked. To fill y'all in, Gabriel was my younger brother and Aldo was my older brother. In my family there was 4 of us. Elizabeth, the oldest, Aldo the second oldest, Me, then Gabriel.
"Nah he didn't wanna come, but I'm only here for like 3 days. It was just a business trip and at first I didn't think I would have time to say hi, but we finished early so I came by" he laughed
"Glad you stopped by. Life's been crazy over here. Heather died, Lexis got kids, Javier got kids, Chewy got kids, even Alvaro got kids" I laughed
"Alvaro? No way-"
"Yup. Twin boys with a ho he met at a strip club. The first ho to be turned into a housewife successfully"
"Wow. I knew Javier had kids, 2 girls right?" I nodded my head yes "and what about Lexis?"
"He has 3 kids. One from a girl he hooked up with and 2 from his now fiancé." We were just like chicks to be honest. We spread around all the gossip and news but it's still so funny
"Holy shit, he probably hella different huh?" He smirked
"Actually no. He just doesn't mess with hoes anymore, other than that he is still same ol Lexis. What about you?" I asked
"Single and so happy to be too. I ont got time to be caught up in relationships or kids" he laughed
"Good for you, it's been a while, last time you were out Nicole wasn't even born yet" crazy how fast time flies
"I know, I know. Speakin of her, where is she?"
"She's in Detroit with her boyfriend, JJ's younger brother" we literally spent the entire rest of the day sitting on our mama's porch talking, laughing, telling stories, it was great. It made me forget about every problem I had on my shoulders
I told him every single last thing that happened during the 16 years that he's missed and in return he told me everything too. I loved the fact I was an Uncle all over again for my gang family and my other family.
~A Few Days Later~ (Sunday)
~8:00 a.m~I woke up and looked at my phone.
Today was the day.
Heather's funeral.
I peeled out of bed and walked straight to the bathroom. I turned on the shower and I took a look in the mirror.
I looked like I had aged by about 80 years. My eyes looked tired, stretched and wrinkles just outlined my face. I had a stubble growing along my jaw and around my mouth. Crying so much really makes me look so much older than I really am.
I was snapped out of my thought when the steam fogged up the mirror blocking my view. I stripped out of my clothes and walked into the shower.
The hot water stung my skin leaving red blotches where ever the water puddled on my skin. As much as it hurt, it felt so good at the same time.
