Chapter 1: The New Arrival

Ash and his friends Serena, Clemont and Bonnie were walking to Cyllage City, which is the next town ahead. They needed to heal their Pokemon at the Pokemon Center because of the battle with Team Rocket just before. Ash was annoyed at the silence, so he spoke up. "Serena, how far do we have to go?" Serena looked at her navigator just to check if they were going in the right direction. Thankfully, they were. "Not that far, we just have to go down this path. But stay away from the cracks in the ground, I heard that Pokemon live under them." They all took Serena's advice and avoided all the cracks and gaps in the path until finally, they reached Cyllage City, A city nestled between the cliffs and the sea. It was quite a beautiful sight since it was clear and sunny, you can't see much of it when it's dark and rainy, Well... that's what Nurse Joy thinks anyway. Clemont found Officer Jenny looking at a picture of someone with a green shirt with a yellow stripe. The person also has brown hair and a red heart necklace, while holding a knife...? He walked up to Officer Jenny "Hi Officer Jenny, who is that you're looking at?" Officer Jenny sees him and replies to him "Oh, Hi Clemont. I'm just looking for this person, they committed a crime not too long ago." Clemont was shocked after hearing that. "Seriously?! What happened?" Officer Jenny looked at the photo again "They tried stabbing someone with this knife" She points to the knife that's on the photo. Clemont thinks that he's heard enough information."Oh, well... I've gotta get back to the Pokemon Center now, i'll see you later!"

Clemont goes back to the Pokemon Center, which is where the others are waiting for him. Bonnie ran up to Clemont and started crying, she was really worried. "Clemont... where were you...?" He looks down at Bonnie, "Sorry Bonnie... I saw Officer Jenny and I wanted to find out what she was doing." "Oh, okay" She smiles at her brother and runs back in the Pokemon Center where Ash, Serena and all the Pokemon are waiting. The Pokemon are now healed and after a conversation with Nurse Joy, they leave the Pokemon Center to adventure around the City, that is... until they see something behind the bushes next to the Pokemon Gym. The person was face - first in the ground, like they were unconscious. It looked like the person from the photo Officer Jenny showed Clemont... no... it was the person from the photo! Clemont couldn't believe his eyes, he was looking at the same person right now. He has to tell Officer Jenny, but how? He couldn't run off and tell her because the others would find out. He just has to keep calm at the moment. The person starts to wake up really slowly, it appears they're in a lot of pain, but that doesn't stop the others from helping. Ash runs up to the person and asks if they were okay, but the person just ignored him. Suddenly the person started to speak "Help is  for the weak..." Ash and his friends seem puzzled after that was said, but they weren't afraid, and they weren't going to give up... not yet, anyway. Serena walks next to Ash and says "It's okay, you can trust us" The person looks down at the ground, looking really annoyed at something "You can never trust anyone. In this world... it's kill... or be killed" Now they were confused. Kill or be killed? They've never heard that statement before, and they know for a fact, that it's not true! Bonnie was more confused than anyone else, so she walked towards the person to find out what was happening. "Why don't you care about what we're doing?" The person replied in the same tone as before, just a bit angrier "Because you don't even know me! You have no idea what I've been through, so how can you understand?"
