Chapter 30: The 5th

Beat's POV:

Beat: Logan! Watch out!

Another tree branch hit logan on the face.

Logan: What the hell!

I can hear it... A bow...

Beat: LOGAN!!! GET AWAY NOW!!!

Logan: Argh!! I can't!!! The roots are pulling me down!!!

Beat: Look!!! An arrow barrage!!!

Logan: MULTI LAYERED ICE WALL!!!

Multiple ice walls were formed just above Logan and myself.

But then the arrows began to glow!!!

Beat: Logan!!! Take cover!!!

BOOOM!!! BAAAAM!!!

The arrows exploded, breaking the ice.

???: WOOD PRISON!!!

Two of the trees grabbed us and enveloped all our bodies in wood but our heads.

???: Well well well... What do we have here.

This man just grabbed Ascalon!!!

Beat: Leave that sword!!!

???: Where did you get it! Tell me now, or you die.

Beat: It was a gift...

The man readied an arrow.

???: Who gave Ascalon to you! Answer! Now!!!

Beat: The one who gave me Ascalon was, FIRE BREATH!!!

I unleashed a powerful burst of fire from my mouth using all my remaining power, but the flame never came out! This wood is sucking up all my mana! I can't do anything!

???: Try again, and it's game over.

Beat: If you wanted me dead, you would have already done it.

Logan: W-wait... Are you the 5th?

SWOOSH!!!

The man quickly sidestepped and shot his arrow right next to logan's head.

???: Who are you!

Logan: I am Logan, and this is Beat. We are both members of the circle.

???: The circle... OH! You're with Kaiser! Sorry for the crude welcome, we don't have much visitors around here!

He undid the traps.

Beat: Who the hell are you!!!

???: Oh!! I see!! So you are Beat!! That guy Dahlia was always talking about!! Take Ascalon back.

Beat: Give it back!

Melodias: Yeah! Sorry about that... My name is Melodias, the 5th member of the original circle!

Logan: So you knew Vath!!!

Melodias: Knew him? We were... like brothers.

*flashback time*

The 1st: Come on guys! We're about to finish the raid!!!

Kaiser: Don't you think this is too much for only 5 people? It's more than a hundred floors!!!

Vath: Stop complaining.

Melodias: Uhh guys? We have a problem. Legendary incoming...

Vath: I'll take care of it. Please clear the minions below it.

Melodias: Sure thing! EXPLOSIVE PINECONE ARROW!!!

Melodias shot an arrow with the tip shaped like a pinecone. It began to shoot wooden spikes which exploded when they came into contact with the enemy.

Vath: RHOMBUS STRIFE!!!

Vath went through the monster and cut his four legs with one slash.

Vath: HOLY PILLAR!!!

A pillar of light appeared from the sky and went through the 300 underground floors just to reach and kill the monster.

The monster transformed into a doorway.

Melodias: 301 down, 99 more to go!

The 1st: Jeez! This is really tiresome.

Kaiser: You fell asleep!!!

Melodias: Seriously?

Vath: At least try to finish the job.

The 1st: Fine, you guys are no fun. Plus, you are the ones who need to train.

Dahlia: True.

The 1st: Hey! You're back! What took you so long?

Dahlia: Nothing... Just some affairs...

Vath: Do you mean the knights again? You do not plan to begin a new faction do you?

Dahlia: And what if I am?

Vath: Then, it must never cloak the circles name in shame, or I'll be obliged to destroy you.

Dahlia: Oh really? I would love a good fight!

The 1st: Everyone, shut up. If you wish to battle then do so once we finish this raid.

Everyone: Yes sir!!!

*end of the flashback*

Melodias: Yeah, those were the good days...

Beat: And what about the battle?

Melodias: Well, it was never fought... Dahlia went with the knights, the 1st moved to South America, and Vath... Well, I guess you all know the story.

Logan: And what about you? What have you done in all of those years?

Melodias: Nothing really. Just killing off monsters, and collecting bounties!

Beat: ...

Logan: ...

Melodias: But don't worry about it. I won't hunt you down Bloodfang. For Dahlia's sake.

Here he is, the wood archer Melodias! He can basically make anything out of wood and make it explode!!!! Now we know four of the 5 original members of the circle. So stay tuned for the next chapter! Also, the character results will be posted on the next chapter (which will be an extra)!!! I am really grateful for everyone that participated, so thank you in advance!
