Chapter Two

The tall guy is making his way over to us. I stare at his shoes each time he steps, they look so worn and old. The toddler walks over to him and raises her arms in excitement. Her hands start opening and closing, wanting him to pick her up. It was possibly the cutest thing that I have ever seen. He looks way too young to be a father, but you never know these days. By the way this little girl was acting he could easily be her dad.

"I see you're feeling a lot better, well awake at least," he says to me, but his eyes never leave the little girl in his arms. The accent coming from him is shocking to me. It's so deep and he holds out each word with so much grace, it's honestly mind blowing. I've never heard anything like it. Big eyes were gleaming as he smiles and plays with her fingers. She laughs along as he makes dorky faces toward her. I smile as the cute scene takes place in front of me. When he sets her back down, she walks over to the woman that I still assume to be her mother. He's leaning against the wall across from me.

"Yeah," is all I say.

"It's a good thing you woke up. You had us all worried," the woman speaks up again.

"I need to find Maddy and come up with some plan," I quickly stand up, and almost instantly regret it. Everything starts to spin and I begin to fall over but the tall man catches me just in time. Who is this guy?

"Whoaaah, You need to slow down a little first." I grab my head and nod while apologizing to him. I then thank him for catching me as he helped me back into the small bed. I realize I haven't introduced myself yet. And not knowing this guys name is practically killing me.

"My name is Casey by the way." Subtle Casey, so subtle.

The woman speaks first, "I'm Lou Teasdale, and this is Lux." Beautiful and unique names of  course.

"So you must be Lux's dad," I say while looking at the guy towering over me, thinking I knew the obvious.

Both Lou and the man start to die of laughter, even the nosy bus driver laughs a little bit. Baby Lux copies her mom and starts to giggle. I just sit here so confused and oblivious to my stupid remark.

"No, I am not Lux's dad. I'm Harry Styles" he sticks out his hand for me to shake,"the god-father," he finishes. I noticed his glassy green eyes had tears in the corners from laughing so hard.

The name Harry Styles sounds so familiar, but I can't think of where I've heard it from. Maybe I'm just crazy.

"Have we met before?" I ask him.

"I don't believe so, unless you're a fan."

"A fan of what?" I am missing something..

"You're not a fan then. My band, One Direction," he says like I should know all the names of the members of every band I listen to.

"Oh you're the guy who dated that Taylor Swift aren't you?" I cover my mouth to hide my laughter, but he catches on.

"We don't speak of her around here."

Lou is trying so hard not to laugh. I put my hands up in defeat.

"Alright, alright. Where is this bus taking us then?"

"Well, we have a show in Atlanta tomorrow, but we've been on the road for a while. We should be there in like," he checks his phone for the time, then looks up and tries calculating the hours "about five hours."

"Try two," the bus driver smirks from his seat, but we can clearly see him from his mirror. I've got to give it to Harry though because it looked like he was trying very hard. I chuckle when I see that he looks a bit embarrassed.

As the bus slowly pulls off the road, the driver tells us that they are stopping because the other boys are hungry and tired of being in a moving vehicle. Walking around should be good, plus I'll see Maddy. Lou and Lux are the first ones out. I gesture to Harry that he can go in front of me, but he just shakes his head."

"You aren't standing up without me behind you. You could fall and hurt yourself again. And after your accident, that's not an option."

"Fine, I am just being polite," I said sarcastically. He laughs at me again. I slowly stand up, but my legs are still unstable. Harry notices and grabs my waist until I catch my balance. Almost like he knew I was going to fall again. This really took a toll on my body, I don't even want to go near a full mirror anytime soon.

"Thanks," I sincerely tell him. The steps off of the bus are difficult, but I make it through.

"CASEY!!" I hear a familiar voice yell my name. I look around and see my best friend running towards me at full speed.

I wince when we collide but I still held onto her like we would never see each other again. I almost started to tear up, but she would've made fun of me, so I stopped. I grab her shoulders and investigated her face, I noticed a cut above her left eyebrow along with a black eye, that was turning a bit yellow because the accident was a few days ago. We both weren't in that bad of shape after what the car looked like.

"Are you all right?" I ask her.

"I'm fine! Just pissed about my car and that asshole hit us and didn't even stop. Are you all right? I checked on you yesterday but you were still passed out." she asked, looking at all the cuts that are all over my arms and legs.

"Yeah. I'm good, a little bit dizzy, but good."

"Thank God we weren't seriously injured."

"Yeah we were so lucky."

"Casey you have no idea how lucky we are."
