A/N: sorry for the really short chapter yesterday! Honestly I was going to add to it but I accidentally hit publish. Oops. But here's a long one to make up for it! oh and by the way there may or may not be mild Undertale genocide spoilers. Oops.
Araya and her friends quickly got dressed. Araya was the first to run outside, looking at the damage. Houses were broken, some were burning or flooded. There were people running, although to where, no one really knew. Children were being held tight by parents.
"Come on, guys!" Araya yelled, running towards the giant flower. Talon grabbed her wrist, holding her back. Araya looked back at him. "Come on, Talon." She tugged her arm back. He didn't budge. "These people are in danger! He already killed seven kids, we can't let him kill more!" She told him, tears threatening to come out.
Talon shook his head.
"Well, stay here. I'm going to save my friends!" She said, trying to get his hand away from her wrist. His grip just tightened. "Araya's right," Alyssa told him, putting a hand on his shoulder. "The dreams were just dreams. We won't let anything happen." Alex added.
"You can't help if he kills you," Talon growled, his voice hoarse. Araya looked at him, her eyes glassy. "Please, Talon, we have to do this." She begged. Talon stared her in the eye, searching for a weak point to strike her with. Even though he couldn't bring himself to hurt her. And she didn't give off any weakness. She was strong, and this was only making her stronger.
"Fine." Talon agreed, hesitantly. Araya forced a smile. "Alex, you approach him from the back. Talon, you inform me of every thing." Araya pointed to her head. "Alyssa, you're with me. Everyone head out!" Araya yelled.
The flower slowly got bigger. Alex was gone at Araya's order, behind the flower. Araya and Alyssa were running straight toward the flower. At the beginning of the flower's roots, they split apart, running to one side, the other on the opposite side. Once they were in place, they stayed there. Flowey was distracted.
He's distracted, said Talon, in Araya's mind.
Now? She asked.
Now!"Now!" She yelled. She and Alyssa both jumped in the air, floating there. They moved their hands in sync, then both snapped. In Araya's hand was blue flames, in Alyssa's was purple flames. They both flung the flames to where they met and turned a dark purple, then hit Flowey. They didn't stop. Well, not until one weed from Flowey smacked them out of the air.
Note to self: don't stay still. Araya thought, getting up out of the dirt quickly. "Alyssa!" She called out. Alyssa was right next to her. They grabbed each other's hand. "We need stronger attacks. That one didn't even phase him. Alex! Talon!" Araya called. Alex appeared with Talon by her side. Her black hair was flying in the wind. "We need to all attack, together. Combos. Combined with each other." Araya informed. "And never stay still." Alyssa added. "On it. Come on!" Alex yelled, and they all jumped into the air. Araya and Talon held hands, as did Alex and Alyssa.
Talon and Araya held their hands out, the blue flames from each hand being attracted to the other until they were a roaring burst of flames, reaching the sky from what they could see. They pointed the flames at Flowey, who's petals went from yellow to blue, from being caught up in flames. The couple distinguished the flames from their hands, and Alex and Alyssa nodded to them.
Alex and Alyssa both flew higher in the air, held both hands to each other's hands, and then shot their individual light at him. Flowey slowly shrank in size. The weeds slowly decreased as well.
We're winning! Araya squealed, internally. She smiled, and so did Talon. They added to the attack with a mixture of their own light, until Flowey went back to his normal size. The weeds had retracted. The kids all floated back to the ground. They were about to go finish Flowey off, but a little girl with brown hair, wearing a green sweater with a yellow stripe in the middle was already walking towards Flowey. After a moment, Araya realized she was holding quite a large knife. "She has a knife," She whispered to Talon. When the girl got to Flowey, she just.. cut him out of the ground, tore his petals off, then tore apart his face and stem.
When she was done, the girl turned around, smiling. She had red eyes, and had circles of blush on her cheeks. She had a locket like the kids had, except it was red. She gripped onto it, then smashed it with her own hand. She fell over.
Dead.Araya ran to the corpse. All that was left of the locket was shattered glass, and the red in it was all over the ground, in a liquid form. "Oh god.." Araya breathed. At least Flowey was gone.. right?
They should be happy.But.. they weren't. Araya's friends gathered around her. "I'm sorry." Araya spoke to the corpse, although she knew there were no chance of the girl hearing a word she had to say. But still, she quietly told her, "thank you." And Araya swore she could've seen the girl smile, a real smile.
**************************
It was a few weeks later. Houses were being rebuilt, and people were thanking the four kids for saving them, their children, their pets.
But today, it was just the four along with a few of the girl's family members. They were in the cemetery. Araya demanded that they have a proper funeral.
From talking to the girls family members, which were scarce, she learned that the girls name was Chara. And that she was suicidal and homicidal.
The four were walking behind the casket as four men carried it to the plot of dirt.
Araya was dressed in a silk black dress, her curly brown hair down, as she normally had it. Alyssa was dressed in a black dress that had a ribbon dividing the shirt and the skirt of the dress, which was tied perfectly in the back. Her golden hair was up in a high ponytail. Alex was wearing a black sweater and black jeans, her black hair straightened. Talon was in a suit and tie, with a white undershirt. His black and brown hair was as normal, except Araya had helped straighten it.
"This girl, Chara, was a tortured soul. We all hope that she shall arrive in Heaven without any demons further harming her." It was Chara's mother. They bowed their heads.
At the end of her mother's speech, she asked, "does anyone else have any other words of departure?"
Araya raised her hand high. "Alright, miss."
Araya walked up to the casket. "I believe that we should all be thanking not us, not me, nor my three friends..but Chara. She was the one who truly saved us by destroying Flowey. She was brave. And she saved us. So, my dear Chara," Araya turned to the casket, placing her hand on it; the casket started glowing blue. "Thank you." She told the casket.
And she swore she could've heard a "You're welcome." Back.
A/N:
HOLY CRAP IT'S DONE
I know it's a pretty short story. And that's why I'm contemplating whether I should make this a book series, or just make a bunch of one shots.
Comment what you want! ^^
