In the dead of night I could feel like something was going to happen. I awoke from my sleep to find it was early morning. I got out of bed and opened my window. The smooth

autumn breeze whistled through my hair. I saw the sun raising. I then had flashbacks of my life. My parents had been engulfed in black magic. Everything we did had black magic involved. They made sacrifices, with mice. But then I was born. I was never involved until I was 5. I found it late one night, I had smelt something funny. My parents and my brother's were making sacrifice. It was either the oldest or the youngest who has to be tortured and it was me who they chose because I was the only girl of three kids and the only who ever rejected black magic. Two months ago I ran away and I plan on never returning, unless I become undead like a zombie and kill them all.

I smiled and then remembered today I was looking for apartments so I would no longer have to live in a hotel. I went over to my suitcase and pulled out some clothes. I changed into a black dress with white tights. My long brown hair twisted and fit perfectly in my beanie. I pulled on my black boots and grabbed my purse. I looked in the mirror and my brown eyes turned into a dark purple. I rubbed them and they turned into brown. I walked out and went over to my car and climbed in. I drove to the real estate building, I parked and went inside to find my real estate agent ready to go. We saw two apartments but then the third on was the one.

" It's perfect. I'll take it right now." I said. She smiled and I went back with her and filled out the paper work. Two day after I rented it out I had already moved everything in. It had two rooms and an area with a half circle window looking out on a small maze garden. A small kitchen and a large living room. It was all carpet but so soft. Before I knew it I was unpacking my box's. I looked over at the clock. It was 11:45. I decided I can take a break from packing and go for a walk. I slipped my shoes on and my coat. I grabbed by keys, then walked out the door. Should I go the other way? I've never been down this way. The elevator is out of order on my side of the hall way so I have been taking the stairs for fun but I needed a break so elevator in working condition on my left it is. I decide that I would go that way. I was walking, when I stopped. A dark feeling hit me. A dark creature, I can't tell what kind but, it's a strong one. But this is there part of the area. I was humanish so I can pass through the borderline which draws where I can not go correct? I sighed and held my hand out as I pushed on something invisible. I pushed a little harder and made it through. I gulped waiting to see if anything would happen, nothing. I started walking slowly when I smelled something that gave me chills down my spine.

Rosemarie. The scent that only one creature uses to cover up the smell of death and blood.

" Vampire." I whispered to myself. I looked around to find nobody around. I started walking quicker. Before I knew it I was going to to the ground floor. Once I was there, I ran out of the elevator and down a hall that lead to the garden. Once I was inside, I felt safe from it. I shoved my hands into my jacket pockets.I was walking for a while when I came to a fountain. I smiled at the fountain, with a little angel on it. It looked old and worn down, but beautiful at the same time. It was once white but was a pale grey now, a small bowl where the angel rested, then a bowl a little bigger under it and the biggest on bottom. I had just remembered the the garden was a maze. I giggled at the thought of getting lost. Around us in the garden there was red rose hedges. Every rose has it's thorns. I pulled ne hand out of my pocket and placed it on the fountain and walked around it a couple times to see from different angles. I stopped and was still looking at then I heard a stick break. I turned around to find someone starring at me. He was tall, and thin. He was wearing a black coat and dark jeans. He had curly hair which was dark brown almost black, and as pale as the moon. His eyes were piercing green, and he had plump dark pink lips.He was rather handsome. He had his hands in his pockets of his coat, and was starring at me with curiosity.
