The rain pounded outside the Night Clan camp. Every cat rushed for their dens to escape the wetness. The only one who didn't mind it was Fatecatcher, the young medicine cat. He had been taught to withstand just about everything, but the chamomile he was carrying was sensitive to the rain. Fatecatcher rushed to the Medicine Den before the rain ruined the herbs. Once he was in, he set the chamomile in the herb pile and shook himself. Sighing at the rain, the medicine cat sat at the entrance, his dark purple eyes scanning the gray for a female cat. 'Rainspell...' He quickly shook his head and cursed himself for thinking of his mentor. He still missed her. She was smart and beautiful. She could have been anything if she wanted. Fatecatcher curled up near the entrance and the lull of the rain quickly put him to sleep.

Fatecatcher woke up, sensing some cat watching him. When he looked up, he almost jumped out of his fur. "Rainspell!" He exclaimed in shock. The she-cat's gray and white fur glistened and she smiled. "Fatecatcher! It is so good to see you again, but we don't have much time. Follow me." She turned around and walked out of the den, her tail held high. Fatecatcher, still in shock, just followed her. Once he regained his speech, he walked beside her. "How- why- ack I have so many questions!" Rainspell just grinned at him. "I am here because Star Clan has a message for you. The rain is not making you wet because I do not want it to. Yes, I am dead. And yes, I am very proud of you." She purred. Fatecatcher nodded. "That is enough for me, then. When--" He let out a yowl as he fell into a black hole, his mentor standing far above him, just smiling down on him. When he landed, everything was foggy and glistening. 'Star Clan.' He thought. His body ached and he could barely move. He managed to sit up, and once he did that, a pitch black cat with dark purple eyes walked up to him. Fatecatcher's heart raced. He was standing in front of one of the first leaders, Nightstar.  The large black Tom closed his eyes and breathed out. "Now is the time. I can feel it." He stated and opened his eyes, looking at the young medicine cat. "Fatecatcher, what I am about to tell you concerns all of the Clans. All of the medicine cats are being told by the original leaders of their own clans. Are you ready?" Fatecatcher's nodded, his ears perked.
"The river will sing
The mountain will cry
The forest will see
And the moon shall be their guide
But beware
Beware reflections of the night.
Fatecatcher, I trust that you will know when a prophecy cat arrives." The first leader dissolved into the darkness.
~~~
The medicine cat woke with a start. He looked around and realized he was back in his den. His body still ached, but at least the rain had stopped. He winced as he stood up. Fatecatcher padded outside and went to the Leader's Den. "Silverstar, I had a vision from Star Clan..." The silver she-cat looked at him. "I'm listening." He told her about the vision. "Very interesting. Well, if Star Clan trusts your judgement, so do I. Even if I am not here when it is fulfilled, you have my support."
"Th-thank you! May I go to Sky Clan to talk with Aspenberry?" Fatecatcher asked. Silverstar nodded. The young medicine cat bowed his head in thanks and ran out, headed toward the mountains that were home to Sky Clan.
