Chris remained silent as he drove, his hands gripped the wheel hard.

“Are you OK?” I asked touching his shoulder.

“No.”

He suddenly parked the car and I found myself on his lap.

Chris' lips crashed onto mine, kissing me with passion, but with a dangerous undertone.

When he pulled away his eyes were vivid ruby again. “Oh, mmmate,” he purred stroking my face. “That hunter will pay for touching you. I swear that to you my love. You are mine, he should have known better!” he chuckled darkly.

“He told me you only wanted my body,” I admitted slowly, “ That's not true is it?”

I really wanted to not ask him that. I wanted to believe he loved me.

Chris' eyes automatically turned back to blue. “ Rachel... listen to me very carefully. I LOVE YOU! I enjoy your body, that's true but I love your voice, your selflessness, your attitude, especially your sarcastic comebacks. So do not believe anything that hunter tells you.”

I smiled, “Thank you!”

“For what?”

“For loving me. You're the first one who has,” I blushed.

He chuckled, before kissing me again.

A short drive later we were in front of a huge mansion. It was made of gray Transylvanian stone.

“Wow,” was all I could manage.

“You like it?”

“I expected a castle but...”

“Our castle is in Transylvania, this is our summer home.”

“Oh,”

“Come on, I want to show you your garden.”

“My...?”

Chris began to drag me around the house until we reached a small garden filled with roses, freesia, and poppies, a lake and waterfall took up the west corner.

“Oh, Chris.” I gasped going over to touch a poppy.

“I knew you'd like it. It took me a few decades but seeing your face is worth all the work”

I smiled at him and saw an evil look in his eyes.

“What?” I demanded before I found myself in the lake, drenched from head to toe.

“You look absolutely adorable like that.” Chris said innocently.

“Really?” I asked walking over to the edge seductively.

“Yes.”

I grabbed the hem of his shirt and pulled him into the lake.

“Hey!” he cried looking annoyed “Rachel this shirt can't get wet!”

“And I should care because..?”

“I'm not in the mood for your sarcasm right now Missy.” he growled taking of his shirt.

"I'm sorry." I murmured looking down, a good sumissive mate.

He tilted my head to meet his eyes, " I forgive you Babe."

His lips met mine in a slow and, no pun intended, wet kiss.

I kissed back as always but this time my heart sputtered then went into overdrive.

Chris chuckled pulling off my cashmere sweater with vampire speed as he broke the kiss.

"Eeee" I squealed turning around. "Chris!!!!"
