"It doesn't have to be this way" he spoke with his soft smooth baritone voice. This voice is what I always want to hear everyday. I live for the man who own this voice, I will follow him wherever he go. We both have duty, an invisible duty to the world. Only us, the reincarnation of Egyptian Royal Family. My eyes were now glossy with my lips quivering.
All of the sudden, my heart is now aching so badly. It felt like thousand of knives is stabbing me continuously, I felt a lump in my throat and tears begging to came out from my eyes. "We have try everything" I whispered slowly as he weakly held my hand and our eyes met in sorrow.
My brain is shouting just go do it but my heart scream the opposite. My heart scream don't leave there will always another way. People always said to follow what your heart's saying, but now is just not the right time. Everything around us just seems stop and slowing down.
I moved my body closer to him, his warmth feeling radiated to my body. I can heard his beating heart, it's so enchanting and calming me down. I don't mind listening to it all day. His arms wrapped around me tightly expressing his feeling, not wanting to let me go. My head looked up to him, tiptoeing, I kissed his lips.
I know this is not the right time for it. But I have to harness every minutes, every seconds that we have. We broke the kiss slowly "Promise me something Yami" I said and rubbed his cheek. He's face doesn't fit the sadness that he feels right now, he was suppose to be smiling all the time to flutter my heart and bringing my own smile to surface.
He leaned to my touch lovingly and grasped my hand, "Promise me to ..." my mouth froze all of the sudden, it just suddenly the words are gone. I have no gut to speak anymore, my breath is now unsteady and my lungs are hurt every time I take a breath even if it's just a small breath.
"I love you Yami" I said before with all of my might, I pushed his body away from me. His eyes were beaming with shock and mouth gaping wide open with hands trying to reach me "YUGI!" he shouted at the top of his lungs.
I closed my eyes and took a deep shaky breath "I'm sorry, Yami" I can heard a deep chuckle from my back "Well well well, looks like the Queen doesn't love his Pharaoh anymore. What a happily never after life" she said with her sharp voice.
I clenched my hand in to a fist and turned around facing the woman with pure rage burning inside my eyes and my shadow monster behind me and ready also willing to sacrifice everything for this world and myself.
"Now it's just you and me, let us see the outcome of this battle" I crouched down to take the twin swords that Yami left before I pushed him away. "Be ready to kiss your death" I said venomously and growled. All I got is a loud laugh echoing through the enormous room with fire burning the room surrounding us.
Whatever the outcome, I will always be happy for because he's back to my life. Just like we used to be, The King and the Queen.
