The spark in her eyes shone brighter than the sun as she stretched forth her right hand, ''Hi, my names Carly , whats yours?'' Bev...''Beverly'' she responded reluctantly as she carefully made a quick exit to the counter. ''hmmm, cold that was, Carly mumbled to herself.

.............The silence in the room was disturbed by the continuous beep the phone seated on the side table made, it was clearly a notification, a message just got in. She reluctantly picked up the phone and almost immediately gave a shy smile as if in response to the message. That smile only existed when it had something to do with just one person in the entire world, one person that made meaning to her life, one person who made her feel complete, one person, 'Carly' ass hole! Beverly chuckled..

Bev and Carl as they fondly called each other, have only been friends for a couple of months, but it felt like they knew each other all their lives, they became really Close after they met in paris during thier Summer vacation.

They both were on that vacation with family. They became buddies instantly when Bev picked the last box of white Toblerone chocolates, It was the last box of its kind on the shelf.

"Oh no i wanted those" Carly murmured...

"really"? Beverly asked, "no worries then, here, you can still have em"

she handed the box to carl who couldnt refuse it.

Bev thought it wise to exchange numbers with Carl and immediately left Carly who didn't seem to be done shopping standing at the shelf.

They became best friends from that day, they felt nothing could stop them, the only thing that felt like a barrier was the distance between them.

Bev lived and schooled in London, while carly lived with her dad in New York. They only talked on phone and skyped most of the time, but they never let go of the hope that they'll one day see each other again, and Yes! They will!
