'I mean you were great Kiera; absolutely awesome I can't believe you actually stood up to Noah Knight.'

We were in the cafeteria now and I've been getting comments like this all day.

Everyone was treating me like a war veteran like I had done something that deemed me worthy of being a hero and while I often joked about how dangerous Noah Knight was. The only pain Noah could possibly bring was to my heart. With every glare or disgusted look, he shot my way a bit of my heart chipped off.

He would never physically hurt me, and frankly everyone thinking that was annoying me.

'Gee, thanks, Patricia, facing Noah the scary giant was probably the biggest accomplishment of my life.' I was really hoping she would sense the sarcasm in my voice.

'You were so brave they should like, give prizes to people like you.'

I really had to try not to roll my eyes

'I know right I should get like a Nobel Peace prize or something.'

Patricia looked so confused.

'What's that?' Please tell me she was joking. Please.

Everyone was huddled around my table now still buzzing about the Kiera Day and Noah Knight showdown and a table that would normally sit about eight now sat about fourteen. I was starting to feel a bit claustrophobic and I could see Alyssa was getting extremely edgy and I could completely understand why.

You see Alyssa was once a very popular girl, in fact, she was at the top of the food chain dating the captain of the football team Xavier, they were the power couple in our college and she had it all, that is until she refused to sleep with him.

He told everyone she was a prude and that she wasn't really that hot anyway and in the blink of an eye all her friends left her, her social status plummeted and the empty space was filled with trust issues and self-confidence problems.

In all honesty, Alyssa was beautiful like a queen who deserved a throne but that's not why I became her friend who cared if you had golden locks and bright blue eyes. She was smart and funny and a great listener. I still remember the day our beautiful friendship started I was sitting alone with a whole table to myself and no one wanted to sit with her so she asked to sit next to me.

'Well I can't very well sit on all these chairs by myself can I? I mean does my butt look that big' I glanced at my butt. Nope, still the same size as it was this morning.

Her eyes widened and she started to stutter an apology.

'No need to apologise I was joking Alyssa, chill.'

'You know my name?'

She acted as if just because all her popular friends dropped her, everyone would suddenly forget her name, or maybe they would I don't really know how these things work.

'Yeah, I know your name Alyssa right? You and your friends put glue in my hair because I wouldn't do your homework.'

Her eyes widened and she started to choke on her water. She looked a little lost for words

'I'm sorry I didn't have the best influences back then and I- '

I raised an eyebrow at that 'Back then? This was last week Thursday.'

She looked resigned and started to get up 'I'll just go...'

'You have a lot of enemies right now Alyssa, look down there,'

I pointed at a girl a with her head stuck in a book.

'She accidently bumped into you and you and your friends locked her in a closet,
