It was the winter of 2011 my wife Charlotte lost her memory. Unfortunately it was never re-gained, even to this day her love isn't the same as it was before the incident..
We had just come out of our favourite coffee shop on the evening of the life changing event. It was our 2 year anniversary, so we had been out to celebrate. We cautiously jogged over to our car, hand in hand whilst avoiding slipping over on the ice, so we could save ourselves from having the cold completely take over our limbs. We got into the vehicle and set off home but just as we got to the end of the road I stopped and remembered something.
"I got you a little something" I grinned whilst handing Charlotte a tiny box.
"What is it?" She struggled to unwrap the little blue ribbon neatly wrapped around the cardboard container.
Her eyes widened when she finally opened the present and saw the contents for the first time. Inside was a silver necklace with a little heart charm decorated with little diamonds hooked onto it.
"Oh my God Harry, it's beautiful!" She beamed
"Want me to put it on for you?" I offered
she nodded in response and turned to face the side window, allowing me to wrap the piece of jewellery around her neck. Once I had fastened it together, she turned back over to face me again and picked up the charm with her finger and thumb to look at it.
"I love it Harry" She unbuckled her seat-belt and threw her arms around my shoulders "And I love you"
"I love you too Char" I managed to respond before our lips met.
Just as we were in the middle of kissing, Charlotte was ripped out of my arms. The last thing I saw was her going head first through the front window before I was knocked unconscious...
