|Avery's pov|

"Hello, where to?" The kind looking taxi, or 'cab', driver smiled as we sat in the back seats.
I absolutely hate taxis. No matter how kind they look, I can't help but think they're only goal in life is to kidnap me. I'm sure I'm not the only one who thinks that, c'mon.

After telling him the address we sat in the back, my eyes shutting almost immediately. "Don't go to sleep! Taxis creep me out." Hayden nudged me repeatedly, talking in a low whisper.
"I'm not, I'm just resting my eyes." I grumbled, moving further away from her assault on my arm.

"Avery aren't you excited?! You're being so moody, we've just arrived in America, bloomin' heck." I smiled to myself. Hayden has a habit of saying "bloomin' heck" when she gets excited or angry. It always makes me smile because she sounds so adorable. ( pia_stoney j thought you should know)

"Of course I'm excited. It's just i'll be more excited when I've slept. You know how bad my mood swings are when I'm running on low energy!" I looked at her as she looked out the window in awe of her surroundings, completely ignoring what I'd said.

I took this moment to also look out of my window. LA is beautiful. With the palm trees and the big buildings that tower over the roads. Everything, even the crappier looking buildings, all comes together and it looks breathtakingly beautiful. I'm gonna have some fun with my camera in my time here, that's for sure.

"That'll be $80" for the second time today his thick accent sounded through the silence. I grumbled under my breath, taking out my wallet that I'd filled with American currency before coming.
"Thank you, have a good day." He smiled, probably only because of the large sum of money I'd just handed him.
"You too." Hayden smiled as I retrieved our suitcases from the boot of the car. "Yeah thanks, I guess we'll just go hungry tonight. $80 my ass." I scoffed under my breath, Hayden nudging me yet again.

It's now 5am and I'm already jet lagged. It's just confusing because we we flying from England at three and now we're in America at five. Time zones need to not.

We wheeled our bags tiredly into the lobby of the apartment block, after not so gracefully falling over a step or two.
"Hello, can I help you?" It must be pretty fancy because in England blocks of flats don't have receptionists. They have creepy hallways that are the perfect murder scene for any horror movie.

"Um yes. We're renting an apartment, I believe it's under the name of Michael Johnson (idek). He said he'd left the keys at reception and he'd told them that we're coming today and staying for around six months." I smiled my best fake smile, already thinking about the bed underneath me.

"Oh, I'm sorry. It says here that you're arriving in two days. Someone's staying in the apartment, they're leaving tomorrow." She pointed at the screen.
I could feel my face burning up and turning red. I turned to Hayden slowly. I am beyond tired and no one, I repeat NO ONE gets in the way of me and my sleep.

"Hayden!" I spoke lowly, the anger seeping into my tone. She gulped, her face turning white and her eyes looking everyone but at me. "You said you'd booked it! I gave you one thing to do!" I was frustrated at her, at myself for not checking. It seems that we've not had one streak of good luck since we left my family house this morning. "Sorry." I sighed, running my hand over my face and through my hair.

"Is there anywhere we can stay in the meantime?" Hayden spoke up, clearing her throat so it wasn't croaky.
"Unfortunately we can't give people's apartments to you like that but there is a hotel down the road that I can give you a coupon go get ten percent off your first night." I felt my fury intensifying further than before. Someone get me some milk. Damn.

"Ten percent off?! We could barely afford this place! This is ridiculous."
"Mam-" she was cut off by the doors of the lobby opening. Hayden had suddenly stopped trying to get me to shut up. But I wasn't going to turn and look to see who walked in, I was getting into that apartment and I was getting into it now.

"I will not calm down. I got three hours sleep, leaving at midnight to go to the airport, only to be stopped and checked for drugs. I then had a ten hour flight, this little flower throwing up every five minutes. Then I had to pay $80 dollars for a taxi here and you're telling me I can't sleep for another two days? Don't even try it." I was fuming, absolutely livid.

"Um, excuse me?" I turned to see the two strangers that'd walked in. The looked oddly familiar.
"Me?" I asked, tightening my loose ponytail.
"Um, yeah. Is everything alright? We could hear you shouting from outside." The other one looked amused, you could almost hear the laugh in his voice.
"Oh, I'm sorry. I'm just really tired." I blushed. I freakish blushed. Avery Wells has not blushed since year five when little Tommy Jones decided to kiss her hand. I must say their extreme attractiveness was making he situation worse.

"A-Avery." Hayden looked like she'd seen a ghost. Her eyes were watering slightly and she looked like she was going to hurl again.
"We'll be one minute." I smiled, running her to the restrooms.

"What's wrong?!" I asked worriedly, placing the back of my hand on her forehead.
"That's them!" She looked almost horrified.
"That's who? You're not making sense."
"That's Ethan and Grayson Dolan!"
