Ch.23

Josh's pov

I watched LJ during her fight. When she knocked that girl out she passed out. We head over to her. The medic goes to her. The other medic helps him put her on a gurney and takes her to the ambulance.

We get there and her couch was out there about to get into the ambulance.

"Hey family only." My mom says then she stops and looks at him.

"Amy?" He says

"Dillon?" My mom says and I was confused

"Mom this dell. This is LJs couch." I say

"You asshole. Where have you been!" I yell at him about to punch him.

"Stop Josh! Dillon you will drive to the hospital and if you don't we will be ok if you don't show up." My mom says and we hop into the ambulance.

we head to the hospital and all I can think is why.

"Mom what are you going to tell LJ?" I ask

"I don't know, but I think now she is going to worry about what is going on with her." Mom says

We get to the hospital and the team was there and so was Sam. I get in and take Ethan and SAMs arms to talk to them away from the group.

"What's going on? Is she ok?" Sam asks

"Don't get mad and crazy but fell you couch is Dillon LJ and i dad." I say and SAMs face goes blank

"What are you talking about? It can't be ." SAM says and I look at Ethan and he looks scared.

"Ethan what are you thinking?" I ask

"LJ is not going like this. She will hate him for all of this." Ethan says

We wait to see what is going on. Everyone sits on one side of the chairs and dell or Dillion sit on the other side.

The nurse comes out and we all stand up.

"I need the family of the Lexi Jackson." The nurse asks and we all walk over

"The blood family please." She says and my mom and I step up. Then behind me Dillon.

"How is she?" My mom asks

"Well we got her records and her cancer was decreasing very well but something made it come back harder. That is the reason she passed out. If it was up to me I don't think she should do kickboxing or any other sport for a long time." The nurse says

"I agree she shouldn't go back to kickboxing." My mom says and looks at Dillon.

"Can we see her?" I ask

"Yes but one at a time." She says

"Mom I should tell her. You stay her." I say and the nurse walks me to her room.

"Hey LJ." I say to her

"Hey so I guess I lost my fight?" She asks

"Actually no you knocked her out before you did." I say and I saw a smile from her.

"Did the nurse tell you about my llama?" She says

"Lexi stop let's be serious, and yes she did." I say

"What's wrong what's going on?" She asks

"Nothing." Not able to tell her

"I know somethings up because you called me Lexi. You don't do that unless somethings up. Tell me." She says and I could see tears in her eyes

"Ok we Dell your couch his name isn't Dell." I say and fell myself getting upset, "Dell's real name is Dillon."

"Ok different name so?" She asks

"Dillon is our dad." I say and her face was in shock.

"No he would have said something." She says with tears.

"I'm sorry I had to be the one to tell you." I say

"Bring him in." She says

"No I don't think that is good." I say

"Bring him in." She says getting mad

I walk out into the hall and find him.

"She wants to see you." I say and he looks confused.

"Um ok." He says and walks that way.

"What is he doing." My mom says mad

"She wanted to see him. Let's just let her." I keep her back.

LJs pov

He walks in and I can't look at him as my couch but only as the man that gave up on my family.

"How long did you know?" I ask

"Since I met you." He says

"Why did you keep it from me?"

"I didn't want you to hate me."

"Well good job that did. Ok why did you leave us? Don't lie."

"I was young."

"No! Don't fucking lie to me. Tell me the truth!"

"I left because I didn't know how to take care of a sick kid."

My eyes start to water and I hold it in.
"Ok. Have you been keeping tabs on Josh and I?"

"Yes. Your friend Mason. He is my friends kid. He fell for you though."

"Wait so Mason was your little helper. He was one of my best friends."

"I'm sorry. I didn't want this to happen."

"You can leave." I say

"Ok." He walks out and that's when I let go. I burst into tears. I hear a knock on the door and I try and hold it in and then I see Ethan come in.

"Hey no don't cry." He says

I try and talk but I couldn't.

"No don't try and talk its ok." He says and comes and hugs me.

For about and hour we sit there and I lay in his arms. I look up at him and I just start to cry.

"Hey what's wrong?" He asks

"I don't want to do this but I don't think we should be together anymore." I say crying.

"What why? I love you." He crys

"we can't be together."

"You aren't giving me a reason."

"I don't love you!" I yell

He walks out and I just don't feel right anymore. I do love him I just don't want him to be apart of my shit life. Wait he lives with me. Shit I have to live with him.
