They said they were going to send the results in 2-3 weeks. It has been 3,5 weeks and I still didn't get it, even though I checked my mail daily. Let's check again, although I don't think it'll be there... It's there....... Oh my god! I'm so happy. I did it! I am graduating from the New York University in a month! It's so unreal. I call my mom. That's weird, her phone won't ring. It's as if she blocked me. I'll try again, and again and again, and again.... Still no succes. Very strange, I guess I'll call my mom later. I open WhatsApp and go to a group chat with my best friends.
'Oh my god guys, guess what I just received from college! 😏👌🏼'
'You finally got your results? That's great! 🎉🎉🎉'
'Yeah, I'm graduating (whoop whoop!) 🎉'
'Awesome! Let's celebrate it with a beer.'
'Ok guys, what do you think about Saturday night at my place?'
'Sounds good'
'Ok I'll see you then, bye 👋🏼'
'Bye 👋🏼'23rd of July, 2016
*BEEP, BEEP, BEEP, BEEP* It's 6 AM, I've never been happier to wake up early. I look to my right and see my gown laying there, ready to be worn at one of the highlights in my life. As we're gonna have brunch at 12 AM, I get out of my bed and take shower. After filling my apartment with steam I have breakfast and change into my suit. When I'm done, I
Dion, my Dutch best friend, calls me. Shit! It's 11:30 AM, I've got to leave right now because I'm late, so I ignore him. My Uber should be here any minute. There it is.
I'm 5 minutes late, not the end of the world. After having brunch I leave at 1:30 PM. At 2:10 PM I arrive at my apartment. I sit down and relax for a bit. Then I change and finally, it's time. I take my bike and go to the university. Everybody I know from here is already here even though it's 3 PM and the ceremony starts at 4 PM. After half an hour my mom arrives. We talk, a lot, because I don't see a her a lot.
Then the ceremony starts... After a lot of speeches, a lot of names. Name after name after name, and then finally... my name. This was the official beginning of a new part of my life. I finished studying.
