As me and echo walked across the street to get to the cafe we realized we had no idea what she even looked like. "Maybe you should call her" echo said turning to face me after we got to the other side. I just nodded while pulling my phone out of my pocket. Three rings later and she had picked up. " OH MY GOD Aspen, i see you i see you! " she freaked out. I pulled the phone away from my ear not wanting to go deaf. As i did so Echo snatched the phone out of my hand knowing i most likely wouldn't talk. " hey where are you?" she spoke calmly into the phone. I heard murmurs from the other end. Echo sighed probably getting information out of the over excited 19 year old girl. She said a quick ok and hung up. " She's over there" her hand shot up pointing in the direction of a girl with a shit eating grin on her face.
As i was about to take one step in her direction i got pushed to the ground by a heavy object. I could feel two boney arms wrapped around my waist. The sound of someone laughing could be heard and at that moment i realized Candie - the way to over excited new roommate - had pushed me to the ground.
Sooner or later - Candie was hoping for later- she got off of me. "I'm so glad you guys came, I didn't think you'd get Aspen out of her room." she said directing the last comment at Echo. getting up off the ground seemed to be a challenge. After many years of being a couch potato my legs just wouldn't cooperate. "Ugh.." i groaned hoping Echo would realize i was still on the ground and help me up.But no, she just continued to ignore me and talk with Candie. I ended up having to push myself up off the ground using the fire hydrant beside me. "Asshole," i muttered hoping Echo would hear. She turned and shot me a death glare. I put my hands up pretending i didn't say a thing.
We continued our little journey to the cafe. Candie had said her mother owned it and she came here all the time with her brother. Opening the door caused a little bell to go off. "Oh my god" Candie whispered, " don't look over at that table."
"Wh-" i was cut off by an asian looking guy who came walking over. "Hey sis" he said giving Candie a big hug. Now i know why she said not to look. Sooner or later we were seated at a table meant for six. There was already two guys sat at the table when we arrived. " Babe" Candie said cutely kissing the blonde on his cheek, " these are my roommates" she gestured to us. Roommates, ha , she hasn't even moved her stuff in. "I'm Echo Noxx, it's nice to meet you." Once her introduction was finished all eyes were on me. I felt Echo's elbow jab into my side. "Aspen" i said quickly and quietly with a little wave.
