LOYALTY Series: Whitney's Story

Chapter 1

"It's been two whole years since we went through all that mess with Joshua's family. I feel so free and that feels amazing. I look at him and thank god that we're still together. I haven't really talked to my family because they felt as though I was choosing Joshua over them which wasn't the case. But they don't understand and I can't make them."

Whitney was talking to her therapist as she was taking notes.

"So Whitney you told me that none of you guys were able to finish school. Where do you stand with that"

Ms. Stevens asked.

"Well Joshua, Tevin, Nya and I finished school. Gisselle and Chris are about to graduate. Tracy has a long time to go. We all are looking into different colleges."

"What do you want to go to school for?"

"I'm really into fashion so I want to pursue that career"

"That's great! Well I'm sad but proud to say that this is our last session. But here's my personal number so you can call me whenever you need to talk"

"Awwww that's so sad. But I appreciate you so much Ms. Stevens. I don't know where I would be without you"

Whitney grabbed her purse and headed for the door.

"Wait Whitney, I would like to invite you and your family to my house for dinner. Here's the address."

"Thanks. We'll definitely be there"

Whitney pulled up to the house and just sat in the car.

"I'm finished therapy! I can't believe it. I've came a long way and I'm so proud of myself. God always guide me in the right direction."

"Hey guys I'm home!"

Whitney yelled.

"Where is everybody at? I know they didn't go out and leave me"

She walked through the house and went to the backyard.

"Heyyy Whitney!"

"Hey Joshua"

"What's wrong whit?"

"Nothing I'm just hungry."

"What you want to eat? I can fix it or go buy it"

"I'll just take a beef patty and some soda"

"Okay I got you"

Joshua went in the house to fix Whitney food. Whitney took off her flip flops and went to the table on the beach.

"Here you go Whitney"

"Thanks. Where's Tracy?

"She's with Tevin and Nya"

"Oh okay where did they go?"

"I'm not sure. Is everything okay? You asking too many questions"

"Yea I'm fine. I just want to know where everybody at"

"I don't know where La'Nae and the baby went, Gisselle and Chris are upstairs, Tevin, Nya and Tracy are somewhere out here. Are you happy?"

"Yes I'm happy!"

Whitney kicked her feet up on Joshua and stared eating her beef patty. She wanted to tell everybody that they were invited to a dinner but everybody was everywhere. So she decided to tell them later.
