"So, were exactly are we headed?" Said Jane, munching on a bag of chips.
"Hey, gimme some of that" Jack reached for the chips, but Jane hissed at him and held them behind her.
"Like we said, we're heading nowhere" Tom said. "We're just going to go and hopefully not find trouble"
"More likely trouble will find us" Jack commented.
"I expected you would say that" Said a voice next to the four of them.
The four turned around and saw a monk wearing white robes and holding a staff.
"Bald man alert! Bald man alert!" Jane whispered.
"Hello!" The monk held his staff in greeting. "I have been expecting you!"
"How did you "Expect us?"" Tom queried.
"I expected you would say that"
"Well, we haven't expected to see you! Hello there!" Jack raised his hand for a high five.
The monk didn't give Jack a high five, though his mouth curled in a grin. "I expected you would do that"
"Is there anything else you expected?" Tom scoffed. To his friends, he whispered "Is this bald man crazy?"
"I expected you would say that. And no, I am not crazy. Merely too overcome with knowledge. Whatever I expect will happen, happens" The man spread his robes. "We are the H.A.K"
"Hack?" Jack asked. "You hack into computers?"
"No, although I expected you would say that. The H.A.K"
"Can you hack a bank for me? Steal a million dollars?" Jack smiled, "That would be awesome!"
"Although I expected you would say that, no, we are the H.A.K. The Holy All Knowers" The man pointed at Jack with the staff. "And I expect you to follow me"
"Doing the exact opposite" Jack turned to the other direction, but Tom grabbed his sleeve and tugged him back.
"You can't be serious. You actually want to follow these maniacs?"
"We don't have much of a choice. Going back would mean confronting Creos's army again. And we don't want that"
"Can't we go east or west?"
"We still have to face them anyway. I have a feeling that the village of H.A.K is very big. Even if they are holy all knowing bald monks who expect everything"
"Just as I expected!" The man turned around. "Follow me" He said. "And I expect you to behave"
Surprisingly, the four behaved.
"I don't like where this is headed" Slither whispered to his other friends. "Did you guys make any wish wishing there were crazy bald monks claiming they expect everything?"
"Maybe they're monsters. We made a wish about monsters" Jane said.
"Which created me" Slither winced. "Anyway. Monsters aren't like this. I sense something completely the opposite inside these people. They might actually be holy people who expect everything"
"But how?" Jack asked. There can't naturally be holy people that nobody ever found until now, can there?"
"No" Tom said. "Which is why something is up. my guess is that the world has to be balanced. So that when Jack made the wish about monsters, the button also summoned holy all knowing people. It also made little flaws inside the wish. For example, Slither is good"
"Yeah. Being bad is.... Bad" Slither said.
"So if Slither was the good one in the bad monster army, then would there be a traitor in the all knowing holy people?"
