The doorbell rang just in time, the moment I got up to keep the cup back in the kitchen. I was glad I had eaten something or I had to go with an empty stomach, all day. Just because the weekends are the longest, people are free and that just gives them more time to think about their pathetic life, as they put it. I shake my head and walk to the door welcoming Scarlett.
The thing about her is that she smiles now, and it just makes me want to pat my back over and over again. This, the smile on her face makes me smile too and there's nothing better than a patient smiling, it makes you aware that you did it. I did it.
Calm down, enough with the self praising. I was actually wondering where my subconscious was, I was starting to get worried just when that bitch started being...a bitch.
"Scarlett, how are you?", I ask her as she sits herself on the couch.
She grins at me, showing her pearly smile to me, "I'm great! I actually came by to tell you that I won't be coming to therapy for a while, I'm heading out of town."
I furrow my brows. This can't be good, she just recovered, "Uh, Scarlett...are your parents going with you?"
"No, it's just me and my few friends.", she smiles again.
I would hate to tell her that it wasn't a good idea and wipe that smile off her face. I mean, it looks beautiful on her.
You're a therapist, tell her! My subconscious snaps me out of my daydreams.
I shrug, "I don't think it's a good idea."
"Why not?", she furrows her brows, massaging her temples.
I get off the couch and walk around, "You just...you just recovered. You know?"
Scarlett rolls her eyes and I sigh, sitting next to her, "Scarlett, I'm trying to help you and you know that. There's no one who would be happier with you being your normal fun self, but take a little time, you know?"
She sighs, "I will think about it, I will call and let you know.", she informs me and gets up to leave.
"Is everything okay with you and your parents?", I ask her.
Scarlett nods and smiles at me, "Perfect.", I nod at her as she walks to the door and I walk behind her.
I smile at Louis and Liam who are approaching my house and I wait for them to cover the distance and get inside the house. They've been meeting each other at therapy a lot and something tells me that they're really good friends now.
Are they? My subconscious lets her doubts out of leash.
I smile as they both walk in and sit themselves over the couch. Liam grins at me, "Can I have a glass of water?"
I nod quickly and look over at Louis, "Water?"
Louis smiles politely at me, "Sure, thanks."
I walk to the kitchen while they talk, whispering. This makes me happy; my patients are friends with each other. This is the place they meet and they get along, this only makes things easier for me. Louis is younger than Liam or Harry but he is really mature and opposite to the both of them. I smile and wonder if Harry will be able to make it to therapy.
