Chapter 23 : "An Explosive Ending"

A/N I'm sorry for the slow updates. I've just recently started working during school hours and I don't get home till late. By then I'm very exhausted. 

At first, Cinder heard someone screaming. Then she realized she was screaming. Her daughter, Emilia screamed with her. The 6-month old knew no idea what was going on, but screaming meant screaming. 

Then, Flint stood back up. There was a slight disturbance near his heart, the same heart that had exploded right before her. She stared in awe at the sight. Her daughter also stopped screaming, the baby going back to sleep. Cinder saw electricity flow from everywhere around her, the sky and from the city itself. The electricity, taking the for, of red lightning, flew through the air and was absorbed by Flint. Instantly, his wounds were healed. 

"What...." Cinder gawked. What in the hell just happened? Hadn't he just died? How did he heal himself? 

And why did she feel like jumping into the fray and helping him?

Ozpin stared at the screen, watching the fight. His perplexed look was replaced once he figured out how Flint had healed himself "after death". 

"Ozpin. How on Remnant did he do that?" Glynda questioned. She was confused, and as always she wanted a logical answer. Ozpin smiled, then stood up from his desk. 

"Haven't you ever wondered something, Glynda? Like why the Queen of the features of Grimm is more human-like than she is Grimm-like? Why she hasn't been killed before? Or why the assault of the brave  people fighting her at the wall right now can be felt miles away and yet she has shown no sign of injury? There is only one answer to what just happened: Cassinova's human semblance is the ability to self heal any wound. Flint merely absorbed that ability, then used it before his soul left his body. I'm willing to bet my life on the fact that the flirting red lightning was him drawing power from the city." Ozpin said before he walked to the elevator. He clicked the lobby button, then stepped into the elevator once the brass doors opened. 

"Aren't you coming?" Ozpin gestured next to him, to which Glynda responded. She was curious after all. Where were they going at such a crucial time? 

The only answer stood in front of her, keeping the Grimm out of the city. 

They were going to the wall.

"H-how..." Cassinova said a short time later. She had blood basically leaking from her body, as did Flint. After he had healed himself, he immediately jumped into the fight once more. With the two at full power, neither was bound to leave the fight with no injuries. 

"It's called 'WillPower.' Learn it." Flint said as he breathed heavily. 

The two suddenly rushed each other, their fists connecting and creating a shockwave. Cassinova suddenly spun around, bring her claws back and landing three deep cuts into Flint's chest. Flint recoiled, only slightly, but then he activated his weapon which transformed into gauntlets. The gauntlets allowed him to pour his aoura into them, creating electricity which he could use in combo with his semblance. 

Flint rushed forward, undeterred by Cassinova's claws. He quick to dodged her sharp jab, then landed a devastating blow to her face. She was sent flying, spiraling until she landed on the ground with a slump. Flint relaxed himself, then felt her claws scratch his back. He moved forward, then lashed out behind him with a flurry of fists. Three of his hundred fists hit, launching Cassinova away from him. 

God, his back hurt from those lashes. He shouldn't have let his guard down so easily. Now, his eyes were locked onto Cassinov. They moved with her, watching for any movement. Flint shifted uneasily. Her claws had dug deep into his back, giving him immense pain and blood loss. Flint rushed forward, kicking up a massive amount of dust as his fist trailed behind him. He suddenly brought his fist up, connecting it with Cassinova's jaw. The poor beast was launched away, sprawling over the floor once more. 

Cassinova was losing, even a six-year old could see that. She had used the majority of her strength on Raijin earlier, leaving her whittled down. She struggled to her feet, glaring at Flint through her blood red eyes. 

Flint smiled, then rushed her once more. He thought she was finished, that he would be able to land the final blow. 

He thought wrong. 

Cassinova rushed forward as well, not attempting to strike him but merely to latch onto the male. And latch on she did as Flint stood, surprised by her locking her legs around him. It took her only a second to realize what was happening, she intended to kill herself along with him. Her entire body suddenly glew a bright yellow as she charged herself, beginning to ready her self explosive technique. 

Flint barely had time to react, but he did have time to jump into the air. 

Just before she blew up, killing both her and Flint. 

And that's the end! Of book 1 at least. I will be posting a book 2, but would you guys like an epilogue? I probably will, just so that I can hype up book 2 XD anyways, thanks for all the votes and comments!
