That Should Be Me [A Short Story (Fanfiction)]

Part IV: He Wants To See Her.

When Nino-senpai open his eyes, Cath was not there. One night, she was there. The next day, she was gone.

Nino-senpai already thought that everything happened to them was just a dream ...

... Until he smell something delicious.

He get up from his bed, and quickly went to kitchen, where he saw his lady wearing his favorite mustard yellow v-neck shirt and a pair of his favorite yellow polka dot boxers.

Nino-senpai sighed in relief and smiled, knowing that what happened to them was not a dream.

He looked at Cath, who is still unaware about his presence, from head to toe ...

... And he had to admit, she looks hot in HIS clothes.

Nino-senpai stealthily comes closer to the angel that saved him, and hugged her from behind.

"Ah. Good morning." Cath sweetly greeted as she was about to finish cooking breakfast.

"Morning, angel~~ ❤" Nino-senpai greeted him back with a kiss on a cheek.

"You don't mind if I wear your clothes, right?" She wringer at Nino-senpai.

"I won't." Nino-senpai replied to Cath. "In fact, I already love how you look in MY clothes."

Cath chuckle at Nino's words. She keeps on chuckling when Nino-senpai starts raining kisses at her, especially at her hickeys.

"Can we have breakfast first?" She said in the middle of her chuckles.

"But I want you as my breakfast." Nino-senpai pouts at her.

"We can have your breakfast after we finish THIS breakfast." Cath scowls at him.

Nino-senpai just sighed, and kissed Cath on her cheeks. "I'll just help you prepare the table."

Cath smiled and reward his senpai with a kiss on his lips.

Nino-senpai watch Cath from behind, humming as she prepares their breakfast.

If this is a dream, please don't wake me up, then. He said to himself.

Even though, one day, this dream, this happiness, will not last forever ...

Because one way, or another ...

She will find out the truth ...

That he is connected ...

To his former lover.

As for now, the only thing that he can do is to be her happiness ...

Her source of strength ...

Her love.

More nights has passed, Daiki had hard time sleeping. Ever since he had that talk with Nakajima-sensei. He becomes a bit energetic.

So energetic, that he can't sleep at night, thinking about Cath.

How would they feel seeing each other again, for the first time?

What was he suppose to say?

Should he hide from her?

Should he ran away?

And the biggest question of all ...

What would he feel seeing his "replacement"?

All of these questions are stirring in his mind, that he couldn't sleep at all.
