Matt's pov- It was Jackson's last day of school for summer. They have a half day, so I picked him up and Gabby, Anna, and Juliet met us at the firehouse.
"Mommy, can we go swimming?" Anna asked. "Once we get home, we will go swimming." Gabby replied. Severide came over to us. "Uncle Severide!" Jackson and Anna chanted. Juliet was blabbering like a normal toddler.
Once we left the firehouse, Gabby and I took the kids to their grandparents house to swim.
Mimi(grandma) and Poppy(grandpa) met us outside. "Mimi! Poppy! The kids squealed. "Hi kiddos! Let's get you in that pool!" Mimi replied. Gabby carried Juliet and I put Anna's floaties on her arms and Anna and Jackson jumped in the pool. Gabby and I got in with Juliet. Juliet loves the water.
After being at Mimi and Poppy's house for a few hours, we headed home.
The kids changed clothes and immediately fell asleep, while Juliet played for a few minutes before her bedtime.
"This is going to be a great summer." I told Gabby.
