Happy seems hard to come by these days.
What with the rain, the accidents, and expensive bills to pay.
I've got it easy; I'm only 15.
I've got a respectable job,
And it all belongs to me!
No bills to pay, no groceries to buy,
If I wanted I could spend it all on
Burgers and fries.
I don't feel sad and gloomy often,
My life is just to easy!
Just thinking of adults responsibilities,
Makes me feel real queezy! Then one day,
My dad came to me,
Looking really distrought.
He said, "Cam, what makes you real happy?"
This, I had never thought.
I'm always just happy or not.
I told him come to me tomorrow,
Then I'd tell him my answer.
So I thought and thought and thought some more.
And idea in my head did pop!The next day he came back and asked,
"So Cam, what do ya think?"
He didn't get to finish his sentence,
Didn't even have time to blink.
I cut him off with real sharp Hush!
"You wanna know what I think?
First off, stop looking so glum!
You're just making yourself sadder!
And that's real dumb.
The key to being happy,
Is to not act sad!
Just your attitude alone
Can make your day real bad!"
That seemed to do it,
Because he smiled the rest of the day.
His friends at work snickered,
But he ignored them and smiled away!Next, my mom came to me,
Tears filled her eyes.
Said,
"Cam, I don't know what to do!
I'm sick of all these lies!
Day in and day out all I do is work!"
I did it once, I can do it again,
So I replied with a smirk.
"Not to worry Mom!
I've got a plan!

PoetryA poem I wrote just because, not assigned. I see many sad poems, not that they're bad, but it bums me out. So I thought I'd list all the things that make me happy.
