I thrust my giant sword through the gut of a Naagha. Blood spurted from his mouth as he fell to the floor. Maesyn glided down to my side. He wore a white kimono like shirt and white loose pants. Over this he had brown and gold leather armor. He also had a leather face mask. I wiped blood from my navy blue shorts. Gold armor covered the side of my thighs. Dirt covered my tall black leather boots engraved with gold pictures of dragons. A large navy blue band covered my chest. The band surprisingly has a lot of support so they don't go bouncing around. I repositioned the knives hidden in my golden gauntlets also with pictures of dragons on them. I tucked my navy blue hair out of my face. It was braided down to my waist. I stroked the large scar running down the left side of my face. How I hated my dark eyes with black speckles. I looked like some kind of freak. I aslo hate my freckles and slightly tanned skin. It makes me less intimidating.

I took out and shot an arrow with lightning speed at a man trying to sneak behind me. I had to admit, I had some rad skills. Maesyn nodded and sprinted on ahead of me. I wished he could help. It wasn't hard defending the core but it got boring. I wondered how the offence were doing. The battlefield today sucked for us. We got volcano again! The other team got tropical beach! How unfair. Not like it makes it harder it's just super warm. It's good I didn't wear heavy clothing like most people. I don't need armor. I can protect myself with my sword and my bow. Not to mention my spyrit protects me. Krystahffer leaped next to me.

"How's the offence?" I asked Krystahffer. He smiled. He wore an inky long sleeve shirt with buttons down the side. He had black pants with a thick red ribbon at the top. He wore leather sandles with colourful beads attached. I wanted to marry Krystahffer at the time. He has beautiful mesmerising brown eyes. His dark brown hair was short with tiny curls. Not many people have dark skin like him. He's also very kind but quirky and playful. He and I were best friends as children, even though he is seven years older than me.

"Easy! It's just this one dude who's super strong," Krystahffer explained.

"Please let me go and take him out!" I pleaded. The sucky thing is Krystahffer has a soft spot for me. He sees me as a younger sister. Almost as if he needs to look out for me. He wouldn't let me go on the offence.

"No way! We need you here in defence!" Krystahffer said. I pouted. Defence is the most BORING position. I like offence. Scouting is pretty fun too. Healing is not boring but sucky. I just don't like it. A slim elegant woman in her late twenties leaped from a cliff above her. I shot an arrow. It pierced her heart. Yet another girl down. Being a girl sucks too. Men have a life expectancy of eighty years. Guess what it is for girls. Thirty! Crazy right! I'm only fourteen so I'm good to go. Most people graduate the academy at fifteen but I graduated at twelve. I'm amazing right? I'm just that good I guess. It may have had something to do with a special gift I was born with.

I sat down on a small rock. Krystahffer towered over me. He's quite tall. I'm also pretty short for my age. We looked at the artificial horizon. "Marry me Krystahffer" was probably my exact thoughts at that moment. He had been my role model for a long time. He kinda seems like a scrub compared to me now. (Not to be over confident or anything. I'm totally modest!)

A girl who just graduated was on our team. She had bright pink hair that swung at her hips. Her pointed ears indicated that she was an elf. She crept in between us. She totally ruined the moment! The girl was shaking with fear. Her tiny dagger was held out in front of her. I smiled at her.

"Hey kid, it's okay. Nothing going to hurt you," I told her. It was a little awkward considering she was older than me.

"Are you like ten or are you really short?" the girl asked. I unsheathed my giant sword. It was taller than Krystahffer. I slammed it into the ground a hair's width from her face.

"I'm not short you imbecile!" I yelled. She shrunk down to half her size. I smiled with satisfaction. Being short can really be annoying. I'm still not the size of a ten year old! The girl screamed in my ear.

"What the hell was that for!?" I yelled at her. Her jaw dropped. She pointed to behind me. An arrow was hovering about a meter from directly hitting me. Somebody must have tried to get me. What a mistake. The arrow spun around in midair and spun in the other direction. I spotted an old man who had fired it. Of course, I made it turn and pierce the head of the old man. The girl looked at me with shock.

"Never try to hit me honey," I told the girl. I leaped towards the other team's side.

"Dieannah wait!" Krystahffer yelled after me but I already made up my mind. I was going on the offence. I sprinted quickly. The surroundings became a blur.

I reached the border in thirty seconds. I must have been tired or something because when I go to the border it normal takes two seconds. I mean, it's only a mile away. I spotted a few archers perched in the trees surrounding me. Maybe four or five. I grinned, knowing they would fire soon. I counted in my head. Three... Two... One... Fire! And they fired. At least twenty arrows rained upon me. The archers must have been skilled to launch multiple arrows at once. Of course, I learnt that trick when I was seven.

All of the arrows stopped about a meter from my body. I laughed joyfully. All the arrows turned around and spun like lightning at the archers. Seven archers fell out of the trees, dead.  I walked a few meters and I saw it, the beautiful tropical beach. The sands were white like tiny little pearls. The water was a beautiful clear blue. A few palm trees dotted the landscape. I spotted a cave near the back of the stadium. That was the most likely place to put a core.

A man jumped out of a palm tree behind me. This sucked. Now I had to fight. Fighting gets boring after it isn't a challenge anymore. The man looked about thirty. Still young but experienced. I yawned as he charged at me with his single sword. One of the most boring of weapons. I somersaulted over his head and landed catlike onto my feet. I withdrew my giant sword. The navy blue blade had dragons engraved into it with gold. The guard was gold as well and had many points. The grip was wound with leather.

"Let's dance!" I exclaimed. The man looked uncertain of himself. I could tell this fight was going to take long. The man charged at me once again. Instead of dodging, I just blocked it with my giant sword. I smiled and kicked him in the balls. He doubled over in pain. I stabbed the man in the gut. I try to leave my enemies alive but sometimes killing is too much fun.

I sprinted a mile to get to the cave. In case somebody was going to make me fight again, I picked up a handful of sand. I blowed the sand and a giant fire broke out from my palm. I blew the fire into the cave. The agonizing screams were music to my ears. I skipped inside the cave while whistling. I walked through winding passages and narrow tunnels.

Finally, I reached a large cavern. Three men surrounded the core. The core was a majestic green and blue. Red flickered in the centre. It's always a shame to smash. All the men attacked me at once. They all wavered and tripped on their faces.

"If you make me see my blood I will destroy my own core," I told the men. They looked at me with suspicion but shrugged. All three men charged at me at once. I spun and disappeared. In one second I reappeared behind them.

"Come on fellas, I'm only fourteen," I teased. They looked mad now. Each sliced and thrusted at me but every hit missed. I flicked my wrist and they all flew to the back of the cavern. They had all been knocked out.

"I'm sorry. Did I hurt you?" I asked. Of course, they didn't reply. I strode over to the beautiful core. With a giant swing of my sword, the core shattered.

"The Naagah core has been destroyed. The Teisei win," the speakers announced. I smiled. Yet another victory. Never once have I lost a match. Not to mention I've been doing this for two years already. Now, it was time for me to head back to the barracks.
