19 - Welcome To The Black Parade

Cole POV

Mikey and I arrived at the hospital. Gerard and Lyn-Z were already there. A contraction hit me as we reached the front desk. Lyn-Z brought me a wheelchair and I sat down in it. A nurse came over and pushed me to a room. She made me change into hospital clothes and I sat down on the hospital bed.

"Shit." I said, as another contraction hit.

"Squeeze my hand." Mikey said, slipping his hand into mine. I squeezed his hand really hard.

"Is Cassie here yet?"

"No. She said she would be here soon."

"Can you call Alex?" I asked. Mikey nodded, kissed my forehead, and went in the hallway to call Alex. Lyn-Z walked in the room and held my hand. "Hey."

"Hey, Sweetie. You okay?" She asked, motherly. She would be a great mother.

"So far. The worst is yet to come."

"I have something to tell you." Lyn-Z said. "We're getting married."

"I'm so happy for you." I said. Mikey walked back in the room.

"Alex is on his way and so is Doctor Altman." He informed me. I nodded and another contraction hit. I squeezed Mikey and Lyn-Z's hands.

"Is it just Alex? Or is ATL coming?"

"It's just Alex." Mikey said, as Doctor Altman walked in.

"Hello, Cole." She said and put gloves on. "I'm just going to see how dilated you are." I nodded and she checked. "You're at five centimeters."

"Okay."

"I will be back in thirty minutes to see if you've made any progress." She said. I nodded and she left.

"Can you go check to see if anyone else is here?" I asked. Mikey nodded and kissed me. Another contraction hit as soon as he left. I squeezed Lyn-Z's hand. "Damn, this is painful."

"Just think happy thoughts." She said. I nodded. Mikey walked in with Alex.

"Hey, girl. You're having a baby." Alex said. I nodded.

"Is Cassie here yet?"

"Nope. Just me." Alex said.

Is it weird that I felt a little betrayed? I stuck with Cass through everything, but when I go into labor, she isn't here.

"It'll be fine." Mikey said. "She'll be here."
Mikey and I have developed a sort of telepathy over the past few months. He must've noticed that I was a little upset. I nodded and got another contraction. I screamed in pain. "Where is Doctor Altman?!"

"I'm right here, Cole." She said, entering the room. She put gloves on again. "How far apart are your contractions?"

"Every three-and-a-half minutes." I said.

"I'm going to check to see how dilated you are." She checked and smiled. "Nine centimeters. One more and you can start pushing."

"Okay." I said, thankfully. She nodded and left the room. "So, who's here so far?"

"Just me, Gerard, and Alex." Lyn-Z said. I nodded. "Sweetie, everything is going to be okay."

"I really hope you're right."

"I'm going to visit Gerard in the waiting room." She said and got up. She kissed me on the forehead and walked out. Alex sat where she was.

"Contraction!" I screamed in pain. I squeezed Mikey's hand. "Where the hell is Altman?! I want this thing out right now!"

"Cole, calm down." Mikey said. "Look on the Brightside-"

"There is no fucking Brightside!" I was still contracting. Doctor Altman walked in the room.

"I heard the screaming and thought I should check in." She said, slipping more gloves on. She checked to see how dilated I was. She smiled. "Okay, Cole. You're at ten centimeters."

"Can I start pushing now?"

"Yes, you can." She said. I smiled and readied myself. She sat down on a stool and told me to push. I screamed in pain. "Okay, okay. Relax."

"Can I have the epidural now?"

"Cole, I'm sorry. It's too late for that." She said. "Okay, push."

I pushed and screamed. I squeezed Mikey's hand. "Get this thing out of me!"

"Relax!" She said. I fell back on the bed, tears and sweat beading down my face. "Cole, I need you to give me one more push."

"I can't."

"Cole, I need you to do this. Do it for your baby girl."

I took a deep breath and readied myself for another push. I pushed and screamed.

So many hours went by. Then, out of nowhere, there it was--there she was. She was screaming and crying. The nurses cleaned her off before handing her to us. She had black hair and Mikey's hazel eyes. She was perfect.

"Does she have a name?" Doctor Altman asked. I looked at Mikey and smiled.

"Ava Alex Way." I said. She smiled and wrote it down on her clipboard.

"I will be back in a while to check on you guys." She left the room.

"Alex?" Alex asked.

"Don't get too happy, Gaskarth." I said. He rolled his eyes. "Can you go get Lyn-Z and Gee?''

"Yeah." He got up and walked out to the waiting room. I moved over and Mikey sat next to me. Alex came back with Gerard and Lyn-Z. Lyn-Z rushed up to me and looked at Ava.

"She's so beautiful." She said.

"Thanks." Mikey said. Gerard looked at Ava and smiled.

"She looks like Cole." Gee said. I looked at Ava and smiled. He was right. Mikey took her from my arms and smiled at her.

I knew that when it comes time for My Chemical Romance to start touring again, Mikey will be hesitant to leave. He wont want to leave his baby girl. I know he wont want to leave me either. But, the fans need them. We'll be fine.

Alex took a picture of Mikey and Ava and showed it to us. It was adorable. My phone beeped, telling me I have a notification. It was from twitter. I opened it and looked at what I was tagged in.

"@misscoleway  @mikeyway with new baby girl Ava Alex!"

Alex had posted the picture of Mikey and Ava. "Well, they know now." I said.

Mikey and I haven't told the social media about the baby yet. We wanted to wait until she was born.

Our twitters started blowing up.

"@mikeyway are they serious?!?!"

"@misscoleway @mikeyway congrats! She's adorable."

"@mikeyway she's just using you because you're famous."

All of them were along those lines. "Nice to know your fans love me.''

"What are they saying?" Gerard asked.

"That I'm using Mikey for his fame and I cheated on him and had a baby so he wont leave me." I said.

"Cole, I know that none of that is true." Mikey said. "You were in love with me before My Chemical Romance even started. We had a baby because we're married and in love."

I smiled and snuggled into him. "I love you."

"I love you, too." He said and kissed me. 

"So, what's her name?" Lyn-Z asked, turning our attention back to Ava.

"Ava Alex." I said.

"That's so cute."

"I'm glad you like it. Um, we kind of decided that you and Gee are her godparents." I said.

"Really?" Lyn-Z asked.

"Well, yeah. I mean, we're going to be sisters."

"What?" Mikey asked.

"Oh, yeah. They're getting married.'' I said.

"Congrats, bro." Mikey said. I took Ava back from Mikey and looked at her.

She was my perfect baby girl--she was our perfect baby girl.

Guys, I'm sorry for the slow updates!

I just started school, so I don't know how fast the updates will be. I'm working really hard, but I have a lot going on right now. On the Brightside, I might be able to type certain days during school!
