Chapter One: War

I woke up with a bit of a frown on my face. "Another day being a fire" I said. Its not I dislike my powers or something its just everyone's reputation in the fire community is not that great. To everyone we are the villains, trouble makers, outsiders, and misfits. Were not like that. People just have to get to know us. A week before the war. The war is basically 4 against 1, Unfair right? Well that's how life is now, well always been. I jumped out of my bunk bed. And headed out the door to the cafe; but first I said bye and hi to my roommates. Flare and Flame. They were both sisters but flare was older. I put on my jumpsuit and cap then headed out the door. The jumpsuit had an orangish, redish stripe. It acted like a scarlet letter to all the other elements. I walked outside the apartment building and transformed my jumpsuit into human clothes. The cafe took about a mile to get to. I bought my breakfast and sat down. Eating my muffin, I noticed a girl. Her eyes were electric blue with a purplish inner ring. She sat down at the opposite side of the cafe. I finally was done and walked back to the fire apartments. I walked to my apartment and saw Flare in her bunk bed which was below mine. She looked a bit worried. "Ember, Fire Mistress wants to see you." I was shocked. Fire mistress wants me?! Actual me?! I try to hide my confusion/excitement and walk to the main base. The main base looked like an outside everyday building but in the inside was something special. The walls were covered in a ribbon of fire like a blanket. It was made out of cobblestone and had a grey color to it. I walked down the hallway and into the office. There stood Fire Mistress overlooking the fire community on the balcony. I walked up to the glass wall and knocked on the door. She opened it with a hand of fire without looking. I walked up to her without speaking. The fire mistress will speak when she's ready. I stood there for about 20 minutes before she spoke. "Ember you are the most excelled in your training. I want you to apart of the head general but you will be in training first not really apart of them." DID YOU HERE THAT?! I am now at the highest rank! (besides Mistress) "yes ma'am" I walked toward the door. "Wait! You forgot these." she handed me a sword that emerges from the bottom once you light it with your hands. "This is the general sword. Use it when you enter the command room. Yes ma'am I took the sword and replaced the one I had for training. I walked back to my apartment. I can't believe this was happening! "Someone pinch me!" I yelled. Flare and Flame almost fell out of there beds. "What? I WAS PROMOTED TO GENERAL!
WHAT?!
THATS AWESOME EMBER!"
After all that screaming I took a little nap. I woke up and checked the clock. 5:32

Training starts at

OMG
I jumped out of bed and got my clothes on, hair in a pony tail and got my fire sword. I bolted out the door without a word and ran to the command room. I stopped just before the door and brushed myself off and gave myself a little speech: "ok you can do this Ember. Just walk in there like a general, confident and ready for anything." I walked in. chest out and head up. "Welcome general 9." a commander said then looked back at his paper. I nodded and tried to see what his paper said. He laid the paper on the table. It was a map. "This is the entrance of the Air Community, which is connected to all of the other community's. We shall first attack here then proceed with the rest of the community's in a line. If any soldiers are wounded by the end of the Air Community then we will replace them with the soldiers from the training. Got it? Yes sir." all of us said. "Hey general 9!" I looked over my shoulder and say General 4 holding a water arrow. "General test!" he shouted he shot the arrow directly at me. I caught it right before the tip hit my cheek, in my hand. "Usually I would just create a fire shield but... You just caught it.. with your hand...." Commander said. I blushed then evaporated the water.

Its the day of the war and I'm nervous as hell. I did train the soldiers but what if I didn't train them good enough?! I heard the sound of the horn and got to my station. Commander first then general's then soldiers then archers. All the generals and commanders rode on fire dragons while all the others would walk, run, or go in by cart/carriage. We got on our dragons and walked them to the edge of the Fire. Community. We came to the arch of the Air Community. They were already there. I could see so many fearful faces. Both of the community's horns went off and we began the fight. I soar above everyone into the clouds attacking them from above. Finally I leaped off my dragon and fought with my General sword. Me and the soldiers killed most of the Air Community with the help of the archers and other general's/commanders. We made through each community thrashing at all their hard work. Finally We made it to the last Community, Electricity. We kept killing and wounding everyone in our path. The war was almost over but the electronions were strong. I recently just killed someone before I saw her. The girl from the cafe. How could I have know her besides the cafe? I know I know her but when and how?! We're from two different communities! She came running at me with a bit of regret. I bet she knows that I'm the *best* General. I unsheathed my fire sword and ran at her too. We started striking at each other but ended just doing the same moves. In the end I came out the winner. She was down on her back but not begging for mercy. I took her by the arms and cuffed them with the frozen fire. So when you try to break free the ice bursts then fire blankets emerge then kills whoever was in the cuffs. I didn't want to kill her, I needed answers. The war was ended and we were victorious. I soon threw her in jail and headed off. But first I needed to gain her trust, because I know that we're connected somehow I just know it! I came to her jail cell and sat in front of her. Her eyes were closed and her legs were crossed while she sat, must have been meditating. I spared her some food from the cafe and fed it to her through the bars. She didn't take it. "At least I didn't kill you." I huffed out
She paused and looked angry but calm
"You killed everyone that i cared about.
"Yeah but I still spared you!"
My mind just wanted to scream at her. Why can't she just be glad i spared her?!
I gave her more food from the cafe.
"You go to cafe embal?"
"Yeah I've seen you there before."
She took the piece and popped it in her mouth.
"Now were getting somewhere"
