You always wondered why Sanji never treated you like Nami or Robin, and the rest of the other girls in the whole damn world. You had deep feelings for him, and you just wish that he'd see that, unlike Nami and Robin you wanted to treat him the way he treats them. Sure he gave you food, but that was basically all, he never called you those cutsie names he'd call Nami and Robin. You let out a deep cold sigh. Never did you know how these feelings buried themselves in your heart. I guess it was just love at first sight. You stared down at the black sparkling water, the moon lights glow made it look like it was the night sky just below you. You wouldn't mind falling into that, your mind unconsciously said. Your eyes began to refocus and focus in and out of unconsciousness A big yawn escaped your throat as you started to droop forwards on the ships railings. You were just about to give into the tiredness until Nami screamed, you quickly turned your head towards her to see something moving extremely fast towards the other side of the ship. The guys rushed out of the kitchen as Robin came up from below deck.
"SOMETHINGS COMING!! LUFFY!!!" Nami squealed as she ran towards Robin and hid behind her. Your eyes widened in shock.
"EVERYONE HOLD ONTO SOMETHING!" You heard your captain yell.
You quickly took a hold of the rope netting beside you and hoped you'd hang on long enough to survive this damn thing. You glanced over to the crew, you noticed Sanji was turning his head in all different directions. Was he looking for something? At this kinda time? Ser-
The ship tipped to your side as the thing hit it, nearly sending you into the water, you squealed.
"LUFFY!! HELP Y/N!" Nami screamed as she held the stairs railings like it was a new treasure she just found. Sanjis head snapped towards you, you opened your eyes for a split second to notice he was trying to make his way over to you. The ship got hit a second time sending Luffy back, causing his once stretched arm to retract back to its normal length.
"Y/N!" You heard the cook scream at you.
The ship was being tossed from side to side, your arms felt weak and your head was spinning.
"Sanji..." You said softly, you didn't know which way was which. The grip on the ropes you once had was loosening by the second. It was such a struggle to just hang onto something that wasn't going to go your way, why not just let go? Man that seemed like the best option.
"Don't let go!!" Voices interrupted your thoughts, especially one, the loudest one, Sanjis. Your eyes shot open, the rope netting seemed to just grow further, as your hands reached out above you. A pair of soft but yet rough hands took a tight grip around your wrists and pulled you up sending you flying into your saviours body, you both fell to the ground, you landed on top of him. You look down and saw the man of your dreams, Sanji. You quickly got up and backed away, completely forgetting the whole ordeal that was going on.
"S-Sanji I'm sorry, I di-
"Y/N!"
Sanji quickly shot over to you and bear hugged you as the shipped tipped down from where you two were. Sanji and you were sent half sliding half falling down only to hit the ships railing hard, it would have been terrible for you if it wasn't for Sanji protecting every part of your body he possibly could. You heard a painful groan come from him. His hold around you got tighter.
"Sa-
"I'm fine Y/N"
He told you as the thing that tried to capsize the ship had stopped barging into the Sunny. The ship still swayed from side to side but it wasn't as bad. You could feel everyone's panic go away, as Zoro stood up and stated
"Well that was one hell of a ride"
"Let's do it again!" Luffy laughed.
"ARE YOU STUPID?!?" Nami yelled at Luffy.
Sanji let you go, you stood up as he did.
"Thank you Sanji, I would have been long gone back then..." You told him.
"Are you hurt?" Sanji leaned down a little closer to inspect you, a slight blush spread across your cheeks.
"N-no I-
He picked up your hands and turned them over to reveal nasty rope burns on your palms and fingers.
"Oh"
"Y/N's hurt Chopper"
"On it!" Chopper took out his med kit from his bag and made his way over to you.
"S-Sanji it's nothing, I'm sure"
"No it's not" Sanji told you sternly as he pulled out a cigarette and lit it up before sucking at it. Chopper began to apply some cream to your hands making you hiss a little in pain.
"The pain will go away Y/N don't worry, I just need to wrap some bandages around your hands and put some ice on it" Chopper assured you.
Sanji got up and made his way back to the kitchen, but before he left you heard him mutter something under his breath.
"Don't ever scare me like that again"
You were sure that is what he said, it was pretty clear to understand, maybe he wanted you hear?
