Episode one: the frost temptress

  3:20 am

  The cold air was a sign, a terrible sign of the coming danger, and the sacrifice to come.

  The young man kicked and screamed, as he was tied to the pole, the people quickly left.

  He was sobbing "no! No, please!"

  Then the mist came, a cold rolling fog, it was the herald, the herald of his end.

  The creature rolled in, a tall billowing shadow....

  With cold, dead, blackened hands, his scream echoed through the night, shattering the still air.

  And when morning broke, nothing but a blackened corpse.....

    Long ago,  in a time since forgotten, hell and heaven clashed, and many suffered and died.

  The war has since been erased, gone from memory and history.....but a few remember, and stand guard.

  They, we, are known as the grey guardians, lead by the grey knights. It is our mission to protect and preserve humanity from the divine forces of light and dark.

  My name is Yumi neko, I'm sixteen and a street rat, I grew up on the back streets of Tokyo and have since been saved and inducted to the order, the man that saved me is known as Master Eclipse, one of the few remaining grey knights.

  He's been training me, keeping me safe and turning me into a wise person.

  But it's not just me, thousands of people have joined, teenagers, adults even old men, we are all that stands between the forces of light and dark, and those that protect the weak and innocent from these divine forces.

This is my dairy, my personal expirences, and if your reading this, please, skip nothing, learn from it, because I can only assume something terrible has happened if you've found this.

I stared at the man, the forest that surrounded me was still, save for birds and an odd deer or two.

I shifted my weight onto my left foot, while he put his on his right, I felt a bead of sweat form, I had only a split second to pull what I was thinking off, he was quick, but I hoped I was quicker.

In a flash I took off to the left, and he to the right, our speed seemed even and that worried me.

Was he holding back? Was he faster?

I was about to find out, as we came speeding back into the clearing I drew my katana, and he drew his, he swung his down in a sideways slash.

I rolled out of the way, and cut the string behind him, triumph! Wait......

I felt cold as his hand grabbed my collar and threw me away, I thumped into the tree, and slid down 'how?' I thought, standing up 'that trap should of worked, what happened?' I chanced a glance up, only to find the net was gone.

"Nice try, but I noticed while we were staring each other down, your glare is effective Yumi, but not on me"

He pulled off his mask to reveal a young, handsome man, my master, eclipse.

I sighed and stood up "is there any point to these sparing matches? Or are they just a way to tease me?" He laughed and said

"Mainly to see how you've improved, but teasing works for me too" I stuck out my tongue and he laughed, I joined him.
