Blue Flame – Prologue

An ache penetrated my leg, worse than any cramp I’d had before. Nothing seemed familiar about this place, a wall of light surrounded me, something told me that it would hurt to touch. Shuffling towards the warm wall of light, I reached up nevertheless;

“Argh!” I pulled my hand away, the burn fizzling and healing in seconds.

Looking down on myself, the unfortunate situation dawned on me;

My sword, my dagger, and my hatchet were all protruding from different areas of my bloodied body. “Great.” I mumbled. Feeling no pain upon slight movement, I slowly pulled the hatchet from my thigh, the pain started and stopped almost simultaniously – the wound only slightly healing, and stopping more blood from leaving my body.

Standing, I proceeded to do the same wth my sword and dagger. Fully armed, if not completely and miraculously healed – I crashed the hatchet onto the wall of light that was imprisoning me, it flickered, but did not die down. I knew I could escape.

“Let’s do this.”
