"Marinette! Get up! You're going to be late!" Marinette heard Tikki yell into her ear.

"Okay okay I'm up," she groaned. When her eyes caught the clock, a scream escaped her mouth.

"Tikki, why didn't wake me up sooner?!" she panicked

"I was trying too!"

"Okay forget that. We need to go."

Throwing on the first clothes she could find and dashing down the stairs, Marinette stuffed what little food she could into her mouth. She ran out of the bakery, saying goodbye to her parents. As she ran into school, she bumped into someone. She looked up and locked eyes with her best friend, Alya.

"Hey girl, you really need to watch where you're going," she teased, laughing at Marinette as she pouted. They both walked to their class.

"Okay, students next Friday there is going to be our annual Spring dance. Dress nicely," Mrs. Bustier announed as students filed into the classes.

Murmurs went throughout the class.

"You think Nino will ask me to the dance?" Alya whispered to Marinette, a hopeful tone to her voice.

"I'm sure he will," Marinette assured.

"Class, can I please have your attention at the front of the class?"

All the students immediately turned to the front of the class.

"Today we have a new student joining us, her name is Annie Dubois," Mrs. Bustier introduced. "Please make her feel welcome. You may sit in the bench next to Rose. Rose please raise your hand."

The girl stood at about 4'11", her short brown hair reaching her shoulders. Her light pink pastel dress contrasted her caramel complexion.

Rose smiled at Annie as she walked to her seat, making Annie feel comfortable in her new school, but a certain blonde brat riuned it all.

"Hey you, new girl, why are you so short?" Chloe asked with a sneer. "You look at me when I talk to you." She commanded, tripping Annie on the way to her seat.

When Marinette saw this, anger flared up in her chest.
"Chloe leave her alone! She is new and has never done anything to you."

"Why are you defending this... this thing!"

"Because it's wrong to do this to someone. Now leave her."
She huffs and lets her go.

Annie eyes watered as she ran to the bathrooms. She knew she shouldn't let Chloe get to her, but she coudn't help it. After all, she did come to a new school hoping that she wouldn't get bullied again at her new school. She had her hopes up, and now they dropped. Nothing has changed except the fact that there are people who stood up for her and was very grateful. But it was too late...
