The Fall

Shadow, shadow, on the wall
Who's the one to break my fall?
When shall moonlight flood my veins
And cause my long-worn facade to wane?

Hollow eyes peer out in fear
As temptation crawls out the mirror.
Inky black showers over head
And lovely hands wipe the tears I shed.
In fear, in love; I'm a waterfall.

Those lovely hands and tender lips
Erased my terror and my mind has slipped
Into a bliss, so dark and thick;
I never suspected it was all a trick.

A silly, little, sick trick.
She planned, that sick chick.
She never loved me,
No, not at all.

All she wanted was for me to fall.
I fell into the dark, in love, and for it all.
She never meant to break my fall,
Dear shadow on the wall.
