Matt's pov- Nothing has been the same since Poppy passed. He was always so close to Gabby, all 3 kids, and I. I walked into the living room to see Mimi with Juliet in her lap and Jackson and Anna doing homework. "Hey guys." "Hi daddy." Anna said. "Hey dad!" Jackson said. Jackson is alright now, but he never was super close to Poppy, since he is adopted. Anna, on the other hand, was done. She wasn't her happy, bubbly, 5 year old self.
I found Gabby. "Hey." "Hey, how are Jackson and Anna holding up today?" "Jackson is great, but Anna still isn't okay."
That night, Gabby put Juliet to bed and Jackson went on his own. That left Anna and myself. I walked my five year old to bed. "Daddy." "Yes, Anna?" "I really miss Poppy, daddy." I pulled her in for a hug. "I know, baby, I miss him too."
